Can someone explain to me why the broadcasters continue to emphasise "athletes" instead of riders.  If you believe the viewers need to understand that the riders are really in good condition then just go out and say it.  In a way continuing to use the word "athlete" make is sound like anyone who is a great athlete could just throw their leg over a motorcycle and go out and do what they do.

Kenny being the fastest in qualifying is scary. Even when he struggled in qualifying this year, he still had top 3 speed in the main. He must be feeling good, I wonder if that win and knowing that he is only 16 points out with a DNF gave him more confidence. Hope he can pull off another one!

Thor has been doing this as long as I can remember. I believe JT said Webb didn't even have custom made gear. Fly must be a breath of fresh air for Webb.

How Thor wasn’t customizing kits for Webb who won a ton of titles with them is beyond me.

He ran a hot lap, pulled off, picked up his mechanic and rode out of the tunnel. I’m here and figured he was banged up- but they said he’s fine. I guess he figured he wasn’t going to go any faster the last two minutes.
