I watch all of their YT videos, when they go on holiday to Oz, particularly Ellie reverts back to sounding Australian.

Spot on mate! The Americans don't see or understand it...That's not a shot at any of you but as Aussies-we see it.

Chicks fake as fuck.

Calm down girlfriend. Isn't this forum a place to discuss the industry - among other things?  And to critique people in the industry as well? My attacks on Princess Brian are all to do with his tactics and deleterious effects on the industry as a whole. I don't like his WWE bullshit and I don't like the way he influences Haiden in this regard. As for Ellie Reed, she is part of the industry also and constantly interjects with her bullshit takes. So fair game. Do you see me 'personally verbally attacking' RJ Hampshire's wife, or Cooper Webb's dad? No, because they're not interjecting or taking active part in the industry.

I guess it depends on what you define as personal attacks.  If the 'personal attacks' involve criticisms of riders in their capacities as motocross riders or industry people, that is fair game. Simiarly, if the 'personal attack' involves criticism of a rider or industry member (read; The Princess) on character grounds - that is also fair game. For the third time, I don't attack people's families if they don't satisfy either of these conditions.

Almost every fucking post you do includes a personal rant/attack or name calling (see above yet again)...but here you are trying to justify your trolling by creating your own rules on how it's ok to attack peoples character and how they raise their families....I'm sure it's because you have such extensive experience on that.....The fact that you think it's ok tells us all about your character....

It's interesting how some people accents change more than others, Kenny and Chad's changed a lot.

Where as Jett and Hunter sound pretty much Aussie, I guess with those boys having their family here does that.

Chad was over here in the States before Jett was even born and Hunter was still a toddler. I think Chad showed up around 2001/2002.  Give the Law bros another 15 years or so of being here and that may change.

Chad's accent changed very early I remember because as an Aussie I thought he sounded weird, maybe back even in 04.

Not sure why Chad being in the states since Jett was a toddler makes a difference, Jett and Hunter have been on the road since they were kids and there's barely a lick of difference from an Aussie accent.

Chad has acclimated to the United States and naturally his accent will change. Same thing will happen to Jett and Hunter because I’d imagine they ain’t going back to Australia to live.

Props to DV12 for keeping his French accent though!

My point was that Chad had left Australia pretty much on his own (no family just his GF) and was here in the states before Jett was even born.  Jett has been circled around his family who have accents so he's not going to lose it as easy as someone like Chad who was only around his GF at the time. If that makes sense.

And yeah I went back and watched an 2004 interview -  his accent isn't even strong at all even in 2004.   We need to find one from 2001 lol I will look.

To quote yourself (again), you need to take your feelings out of this.

I think you are overly triggered by Herr Lich's posts because you are so starry eyed over the Deegans.  I enjoy a lot of his posts because they are generally well thought out with the added bonus of shitting people like your good self to tears.

Also, you're a hypocrite.  Calling someone out over what you feel are "personal attacks" directed at someone not related to you, while dishing out personal attacks of your own in your effort to "win the argument" shows a lack of integrity.

Only have to look in this thread for examples:  "low life troll....your'e a fucking classless joke".

She’s as cool as they come and Chad has certainly gotten better, since he’s out of the limelight. He was an arrogant prick for several years.
I’ve spent a little time around them and although I won’t claim I “know them”, I will say that Ellie is pretty down to earth and a great mom/wife.
It’s easy to sit back and talk shit when you really don’t have a clue what you’re talking about. Lots of that on Vital these days !

Chad never had a remotely broad Aussie accent.

Not all of us do. It could be said to be dying out.

Aussies tend to be pretty bloody good Mimics - especially if you DO have  a marked Aussie accent, And you are overseas. We'll pick up on whatever 'twang' is required, to get by, basically.

Now, I'm told I've a very Aussie accent ( though, I don't really think so - but, I do easily adapt my 'vocals' for whatever situation I'm in , so someone from say my Uni  / Academia work, hearing me elsewhere. among 'normal, yobbo-ish people', will tend to go WTF Bear?, and, vice versa) , and, I do use Old Aussie vernacular near on constantly. But I'm old, and, a bit of a Galah......... 🦘

So, when I go OS, I really try to tone it down. Especially in America, as I find so many 'Muricans can't understand me - The North East in the USA very much so - in New York, half the people I talk to, are  going, what, what, What? I get back to OZ, and I sound a bit like a Yank, for a time - well, until my Brothers tear me a 'new one'.

Europe and Asia?  I have little problem - as I always try to learn a few basic sentences, with the 'sorry, I'm a dopey / monolingual Aussie'  apology thrown in early, in their language. That gets me pretty bloody far, that does.

I don't give a flying f**k about Chads' or his Wifes'/ Kids or anyone else's accents - well, other than those Bloody Kiwis : those Blighters, Bounders and Cads are completely flamin' unintelligible. Learn some Bloody Vowels, you bunch of RatBags!!!! 🙄  (We Luvs Yuz, Kiwis 😚 [yuk!] )

Their vlogging is so cool! I like best seeing them in everyday life, more so than watching them riding.
They are living a fantastic life.

Mums can be Creepy Things!

When they are talking about the Things At The Bottom Of The Lake,  as brought up by Chad, Elile says to the little Tacker : "Did they Bite you?, did they get your Toes? - 'cause they Are Delicious" with the typical Weird mum look. Eeeeeeek!

I note that it's generally fellow Aussies that go on about / at the Reeds, and have  a real go at Ellie. Tall Poppy Syndrome?

Well, I'm going to indulge in a bit of Cultural Appropriation here , stealing from the Canukians : "Give Your Balls A Tug, ya  De-gens" (c/r Letterkenny / Shoresy)

CPR : go to 6.50 in - Chad reflects my thoughts about "not going to the bottom" - as, I found some scary things at the bottom of the Nepean River that's only about 60 /80 meters away from me, when I was a kid........ 🤮

That's where the 'Creepy (but equally funny) Mum' thing comes in with Ellie - they are , at times, worrying creatures!

Watch Letterkenny or Shoresy in SBS On Demand - Shoresy ( the character ) has a near constant  "give your Balls a Tug" line.

They are F'ken hilarious, for 2 very  in-depth, and, I'm told, Highly Accurate, and sober, Canuckian ( Canadian ) Societal and Hockey Documentary Series......🤪

It often boils down to how easy is it to adapt to the new language and accent compared to your native one.

For example, we Swedes pronounce the letters closer to the British/Australian English than the American. So when we speak English we naturally sound more brittish. Like when the Americans say Honda they pronounce it like ”Handa”. So we have a harder time naturally to catch up with a American accent than a brittish, even if we use all the American words for things and not the brittish.

Some countries in the world have a strong language and accent that is hard to drop, French and Finnish are two of them.

And then it boils down to how much you really want to change. Both Roczen and Reed really wanted to become Americans and adapt to that, while when riders like JMB came over they were not interested in embracing it the same way.

Some people just settle when they are able to communicate while others actively tries to sound correct to.

For the Lawrence’s it’s clear how much pride they take in being aussies and i don’t think that they tried to change their accent, and being around each other all the time will help preserving that to.

Where as Jett and Hunter sound pretty much Aussie, I guess with those boys having their family here does that.

I'm fascinated with accents. Even here in the states. If you move down South you'll start picked up a Southern accent. But I've worked in construction with Southerner's who have been in the Northeast for 30yrs and never lose their accent.
