It boggles my mind how these guys like Pierer seem to continuously fall upward. You do have to admit groveling and sweet talking your way into a restructure plan that lets you get away with essentially stealing a couple billion dollars from the banks is damn impressive.

Yes the same banks that when they fail because of their poor decision making (aka 2008) we the public then have to bail them out.

As I’m sure a lot of us do I know quite a few guys in various positions at KTM and my understanding is they purchase everything from outside vendors .

Admittedly I'm a slow learner, but you'd never be in a position to burn me TWICE. The only way we'd do business moving forward is if the cards were stacked in my favor - not yours.

Coming from a guy that has three Husqvarnas and a KTM in his garage I'm going to have a hard time buying another PMG product anytime soon. I'm getting tired of these rich people\companies getting treated differently than everyone else, if I told my mortgage company I'm only going to pay 30% of my mortgage but I'm going to keep my house and they just have to be happy with it I'd be laughed at and dragged in to court immediately. Until we vote with our wallets against companies that pull these shinnagans nothing is going to change about all this "too big to fail" bs.

Feel you on that, was considering a 25’ FE 450 but might wait for Ducati to launch their 450 now.

I want to buy a motorcycle from a manufacturer that will still be in business 5 years from now.

If you get a Zook, not only will the manufacturer still be in business 5 years from now, but you might still have the current model 5 years from now!

To be apples to apples, your house would need to be worth only 15% of your mortgage balance, at which time I believe the bank would happily take your 30% offer rather than reposes your house and try and sell it at the market rate.

Stefan Pierer took a small motorcycle manufacturer that sold 7k bikes 30 years ago to almost a quarter million now. Yeah he may be a bit shit at M+A deals and managing debt re-structures, but the dude was an engineer turned businessman from Austria.

In what way is that falling upward? Do you not understand what that phrase means?

Absolutely, totally agree. Sometimes things don't go as planned. There are acts of God, market swings, things go in and out of fashion. But in Pierer's case it seems ego surpassed a sense of responsibility. Maybe I am wrong and he is heart broke stiffing people, but this all seems so avoidable and so many of us even on the outside can see tremendously piss poor decisions now that led to this. Halt the nonsense at 1B instead 3B for example.....

It's been brought to my attention that my post may have been mis-interpreted.    Please tell me you people read this as an attempt to make a funny dig at Chase Sexton for his tucking the front wheel issues....

This was NOT a Trans joke..... ...but it's nice to know where Earlys head is at.

This is beyond freaking  hilarious...🤣

I don't root for the brand's destruction, but the right people aren't feeling the pain here.

It amounts to nothing, but I will not be supporting them with my dollars going forward.

I like that KTM is steering into it, owning the storyline that the whole motorcycling world knows right now. Way better than a brand / company trying to deny what's going on with the 'ol, "Look how great we are, nothing wrong here, we're #1, all sunshine and rainbows" type of BS. Great emotional connection, for those of us who get emotional about motorcycles, in this new campaign. Obviously, words won't mean a thing when the bottom line comes out later this year, but what else does a brand do, roll over and die because online trolls say so? Let's all build one another back up!

Hopefully the vendors that got screwed out of their 70% didn’t put all their eggs in one basket. It would be interesting to know how long they haven’t been paid for. It would’ve made this story better if they would’ve stopped supplying product until they got paid. I wonder how many vendors stick with them going forward. Screw me once……

Reread. He's talking about the suppliers that KTM stiffed.

It kind of seems like up until September/October things were running as normal, then it all blew up. I'd think that the suppliers likely got the same warning as the employees who were furloughed in November.

It would have never in a million years occurred to me that this joke would be about anything other than Sexton tucking the front wheel.

My brother bought a RMZ250 new. He saved a boat load of cash and is more than enough bike for him 😅

That's true of all the bikes and the vast majority of riders on this forum.    Very few people can use these bikes to their potential.    ...but some people just feel better when they spend more money.  😂

Self-delusion.....doing marketing's job for decades.

All the KTM Vendors are walking a little funny this week after getting royally fucked. Then KTM Celebrates with a video not mentioning shit about the people who saved them.  Not a good look.
