No. Jett and Tomac are out injured and Sexton got himself stuck in the gate.
Webb was marginly faster last year than previous years, this year he's slightly faster.
RC trying to make it exciting for the fans, he is not the smartest guy but does as good as he can.
stop bitching. people like you are the reason RC literally gives us nothing on the broadcast. he finally said what we were all thinking.

I may have not worded that clearly but I think he has found some speed this year compared to last year. He seems to be better in the whoops and in general, to me, doesn't look far off from what Chase, Eli and Jett were able to do. I'm not saying he is faster than those guys but I think he is a faster version of himself. Also, I feel that gap is closer to the others than it was prior.
This is hilarious. Two threads above this there are people bitching about how "RC sucks in the booth bc he doesn't say anything" lmao. Counting to six and dumping the clutch on the gate then crashing 15 seconds after starting dead last is a fatal error by a championship contender. RC was dead on in everything he said. Also, who cares what RC says about a rider? Why does it matter if he is negative towards someone anyways? Hes giving his opinion thats what he is in there for.
Slightly off topic but with Chase going from last to third, I don't think there's a problem with that bike.
Chase’s bike is always great when Jett isn’t on the track.
RC was actually doing his job there for once.
This. RC knows what Chase is capable of and expects better than stupid mistakes that may cost him the title.
Thats not the problem. Its that he went on and on about it and ignored the part of the race unfolding in front of us of Chase tearing through the pack.
RC has said shit like that for years, and it's so cringe. He used to do it to Alessi all the time when he'd t-bone someone and then RC would go on for 5 minutes about how Mike's career is trash cause he t-bones people, he'll never reach his potential, and on and on and on. Was entirely unnecessary and felt way "personal". He's done the same with Barcia, Freise, and others. No it's not "calling it like it is"....it's immature and sounds silly.
Re-read that list of names and let me know if you think he was wrong about any of them. All 3 of those riders have not performed to their potential. Maybe Friese has because he has made a career of being a mid-tier rider for a long time. Barcia and Alessi should have been better than they panned out to be. I don't think for Alessi it's because of malicious riding. I do think for Barcia it largely is.
yeah, i figured i'd get that response and you're not wrong. My point I suppose is that what he was saying wasn't incorrect....it was the fact that he said it unprofessionally and then went on and on and on about it and it was full CRINGE to spend that much time bagging on someone that wasn't even going to be in the top 5. that's all.d
Barcia has had a pretty fucking solid career if you ask me.
No he doesn’t have a 450 title but he has wins and longevity in the sport that is up there with the likes of Larocco and Windham.
Barcia has had a very good career in terms of moto careers. However, I'm pretty sure he was a top tier prospect and I remember seeing him in Honda commercials as a kid. To be fair, I do think I missed the prime of his career as I wasn't really watching in the 2014-2019 era. I'm pretty aware of what happened but I wasn't really watching.
I'm pretty sure Barcia was expected to win titles and be up front with top guys. From what I have seen, he is a tick off of the top guys and uses questionable block passes to try to mess with others. I do hate dirty racing so I have somewhat of a bias against him. Either way, dude is mega talented and I do think that if he focused on being faster than the other guys, he'd be better. Maybe instead of ramming them, try to reasonably hold position and if they overtake you, latch onto them and figure out where they're beating you. He's good enough to learn from others but instead his ego has him trying to "beat" them by doing dumb bs. In his prime years, it seems he got into pissing contests instead of focusing on himself and straight up beating them.
If I'm seeing this correctly, he has 6 450sx wins and the best he has done on a season is 4th place. For a guy that came up as a pro from the early teen years and beat Eli Tomac at LL's, that's an underperforming career, IMO. If Cade Clason had those 450 stats, that would be an overperformance. He didn't have Barcia's pedigree.
😄
Pit Row
^^ RC is the GOAT, and rightfully so. To all the folks bashing the broadcast - go get a bike, show up the the races, and win yourself 15 championships - then maybe you can have a turn in the booth Saturday night.
RC is awful
He was the goat.
Remember....being the GOAT on the track is one thing, being "good" or "decent" in the booth of a major sporting event broadcast is totally different. He may know Moto and Supercross, but he is a bit clumsy projecting his speech and thoughts to the viewership. It's a bit painful at times. LOL Same with James. Can't count how many times he has used the wrong word. Once or twice OK....but it's ALOT. Not saying I am perfect....but they are bit out of place announcing.
There is a problem with this sport. Seems we think people who are "fast" on dirt bikes are good at everything. What it comes down to is we elevate these past "hero's" to positions in other aspects of our sport and wonder why they suck at it. With the exception of a very few, past champions don't necessarily make "great" anything else. They spent their lives racing dirt bikes. Now we expect them to "announce" a race with clever opinions and all the rest.
News flash. You might be the best electrician in the room, but doesn't mean you can solder a copper pipe together for a hot water heater.
We get exactly what we get from past champions when they stand in front of a microphone and tell us all their opinions. then get butt hurt over it.
It's our sports way of things. It's the lazy way actually. Find a "hero", place them in a spot where so many idolize them and watch them flounder.
No different then making past champions team managers, just because they are fast doesn't make for good leaders.
Just an opinion from an old man who has seen this stuff for a long time. Doesn't change and won't.
A/C would be a prime example of someone in the sport that just might be the opposite. He at a very young age did excellent with the microphone and was pretty damn good on the bike.
OH and RC has piled on Chase for a long time, Chase has big shoulders and can handle it. He is current, RC is past. The brutal thing about this sport.......................once you have been put out to pasture, no one really cares and the more you "try" to matter the more it doesn't.
and i am biased on this issue as well.
SuperMotorcross doesn't have the market cornered when it comes to this. I've seen this mistake made throughout sports and business of all kinds. What is most annoying are the folks who fail to see it.
The lack of understanding nuances in here is wild. Nobody has a problem with him criticizing Chase for a mistake, it’s how he brought it up repeatedly and how he struggles to let things go. He repeats points made by himself and by his other hosts over and over and over.
How many of you guys watch RC and Villomoto's podcast "Title 24?"
They have always repeated themselves 2-4 times on almost every point they are making, RV says X, RC 100% agree, RC paraphrased what RV said, RV I agree. <-- happens frequently.
It's not hate, they are still finding their zone in the podcast business
Honestly after re-watching the main finally, I’m confused. RC honestly didn’t harp on Sexton too hard, he just got excited and hyped saying things like “Sexton is stuck in the gate!!!”, but this whole season he’s been a little more hype on pretty much everything, same with Weege, and he’s usually always hype
Geez that is cringey. Defensive "you claim I never do". Belittling to fans: "Your hero" like it is some kind of a put down to a fan. "reminder to the warriors" - another put down to a fan as only a keyboard warrior.
There’s a now 3 page thread and a litany of YouTube comments claiming he’s attacking Chase, a lot of which he’s probably read. That’s a pretty fair response, you’re being too critical.
There's 2 completely different conversations going on here but that's Vital🤣the OP wasn't referring to RC's poor announcing skills calling back to something that already happened and referring back to points he made 10 minutes prior, the OP was referring to RC being a "hater" as in criticizing Chase more than deserved. I wholeheartedly agree that RC is not a great announcer in any way shape or form. However, as I already said in an earlier reply of mine the criticism itself (regardless of how poorly it was delivered from a color commentator/analyst side of things) is absolutely deserved🤷♂️
