Lots of folks let out of the dumbgeon today. Ama followed the rules, kitchen was the better of the two in the second race aka red flag restart. Pretty easy to understand.
'Second Race'
SMH.
What I found entertaining is how the Goat and The Screamer in the booth had no clue how many laps they were going to run after the restart lol.
Max got screwed….

That's as pissed off as I've been at a race in awhile. I was yelling at Max to park Levi
Yep 100%. There’s no reason they couldn’t have waited 7 seconds. All MacAdoo did was hit the handlebars (not good, but not life threatening).
Nothing wrong with Levi winning it. He just took advantage of the AMAs extremely poor judgement.
This is part of the reason I no longer enjoy football, the officials decide the outcome. You want to stop and restart at the end of a race with an unknown amount of laps to run, fine. But at least determine the winner based on the aggregate time of the two races. Max earned those 7-8 seconds he had on Kitchen when they called the "first race".
If there is anyone to blame here for “Max getting screwed” it’s Cameron Crashadoo
I felt the same way but thought it would be a little insensitive to say it considering Cam wrecking hard. But screw it, I'll jump on that hill with you.
There's a rulebook for a reason. Yeah Max got royally screwed here but there's nothing wrong with the AMA's call on this.
Am I understanding the rules wrong or would the race have been over if they waited 7 more seconds? If so, then yes they made the wrong call.
yal need to question why max went on the outside 🤔 , should’ve kept taking tht inside in the sand & let Levi decide whether or not he wana funnel in or rail the sand berm on the outside , if Levi passes u on the outside just live with tht but never give up the inside position, stop with all this finger blaming deflection & call this shit how it is
Yes, the race would have been over but since there was 7 sec left on the clock so they followed the rules which said a staggered restart.
You're missing the point - last week we needed to hyper-enforce the rules to get the result we wanted. This week we need to ignore them to get the result we wanted.
Please try to keep up.
😄
Yes there is, the AMA nullified the previous 15 minutes of racing. They were lucky nobody got hurt in the restart.
Maybe they made the call with 37 sec to go and it took 30 sec to go through to everyone? How many seconds would you be fine to sit half dead at the end of a sketchy set of whoops? 7? 15? 30?
That is correct.
The rules changed, and not for the better. As long as there's time left on the clock, the race restarts, and will comprise of at least 3 laps.
There's a reason the rules used to call the race over if more than 90% of the race is complete. This is exactly it.
Kitchen won without question according the 2025 rule book, but in my opinion, the changes should be reverted.
You'll notice that Kitchen wasn't excited for the win. I know of very few who wouldn't feel guilty winning in those conditions.

Nullify is a bit extreme lol
P1 and P2 aside the finish order was damn near identical to the running order before the restart
Pit Row
The point everyone is making is that they could’ve waited 7 sec to red flag the race.
Bingo. This was also just confirmed by Weege who talked to AMA
Max did get screwed, but that’s the rule. That’s the way she goes. Nobody wanted that outcome, but there’s nothing the AMA could have done differently.
Right, I do agree they followed the rules. And I say they should have just waited a whole 7 seconds more and just called the race. Thus me saying they made the wrong call
What was Max talking about on the podium? Something about Bobby not coming to the races?
"Bobby the team boss called me earlier and said that I somehow said that I didn't expect to win. I don't know where he got that from. If he's not going to show up to the races don't bother calling me anymore because, at the end of the day, I expect to do what I'm doing. All I'm saying is that I expect these guys, I've got a great competition with RJ and Levi and all these guys out here that are solid, and that I'm putting in a good fight for this, so let's take it to Daytona and keep pushing."
To the OP... Looks like you're from England but don't let your emotions impair your judgement...
1. I obviously feel bad for Max. He rode great and would've won the regular main
2. Red flags are part of the game and there are rules... (I actually thought they would've call the race at the red flag because 90% of the race was done)
3. You gotta be prepared to any situation, redflag/restart is one of them
4. In the days of "I gotta get a good start", Max started 1st of the restart and already had a few bike lengths lead in the whoops after the start...
5. His strategy wasn't good after the restart. At 31, you should know where your competition is on the track and that riding defensively is the worst thing you can do to keep a position. The best defense is to attack, hit the fast lines and clock fast lap times (he had the fastest lap time in the race before the red flag). He started riding defensive, going tight in the turns, taking insides etc... When he got passed, he had the inside. Most of the guys would've sent Levi over the berm...
6. We gotta salute Levi's opportunism. He saw an opportunity to win and did what it took to win even if he wasn't the best rider during the main. The most important thing is to lead the last lap in our sport.
7. On the same note, RJ did the same. He also passed Max in the last 3 laps. He did whatever he could to better his red flag finish. He got passed back by Max but he was also opportunist.
8. To finish with my 2 cents, Max wanted to fix what wasn't broken. If he rode the same way he did in the first few laps of the main after the restart, he would've won the race. It's heartbreaking for him because he had it in the bag but sometimes, like tonight, you gotta prove you're THE guy until the checkered flag which he didn't. He'll learn from it and will be better from it...
^best post all damn night
When did the AMA change the red flag rule to what it is today? Was this implemented for the start 2025 season?
Why did AMA feel a need to change it? Seems like most everyone had in their minds the race would be called complete if 90% of the time had expired.
All the bullshit aside, I hope the AMA change the rule after that. If you’re going to mandate a minimum of three laps after a restart, then surely a race should be called complete if there’s less than three laps left.
The current rule is nonsensical in this situation.
“The Screamer”? Yeah, I’ve definitely noticed more fake excitement from him.
But his commentary might be geared more towards the casual fan that doesn’t really know that the blue bike rider is not nearly close enough to actually pass the red bike rider.
I remarked on this before - it seems apparent that there's a push from the sports networks to adopt the Spanish soccer commentator style of broadcating the last few years. It's really become common in CFB where guys that never had that style just go berserk on the most mundane plays.
Makes it difficult to listen to the nonsense - reminds me of the Low IQ car commercials.
Post a reply to: AMA are a crock of s***.
