2022-2025 GASGAS and Husqvarna motocross, enduro and cross-country models fitted with Braktec brake systems have a recall.
In case you have one and have missed the shoutout from your dealer, Husqvarna and GASGAS off-road models fitted with the Braktec brake systems need to be inspected by an authorised dealer for potential replacement of the front brake calipers.
They say it is “irregularities in the casting structure of a specific component may impair the function of the front brake caliper and consequently, this must be inspected and replaced if necessary.”
That is the case with all 2022-2025 motocross, enduro and cross-country models with Braktec brake systems.
They add the issue may not be apparent on all motorcycles, however, owners of these models must return their machine to an authorised GASGAS dealer to have the front brake caliper inspected and replaced as required.
Customers who have already acquired one of the above-named motorcycles are being informed by personal letter and are asked to contact an authorised GASGAS dealer to arrange an urgent inspection appointment.
In addition, customers can check online in the ‘Service’ area of the GASGAS or Husqvarna website to determine if their motorcycle is affected. The inspection and replacement of all affected parts will be carried out at no cost to the customer and must only be performed by authorised GASGAS dealers.

Probably tongue in cheek, but recalls don’t work that way. Braktec is on the hook to pay for any recall costs, that is part of any purchase contract between an ORM manufacturer and a supplier.
I believe brembo owns braktec now.

Ha I just removed mine to install brembo system because my brakes were terrible. Glad I wasn’t crazy!

“Not enough parts to perform the recall” is next as braketec tries to get paid for brakes they sold to KTM from 2023.
The inconsistencies of the braketec shit made my scooter unrideable after a while. Got to the point I didn't trust them, brake or clutch.
I knew I wasnt crazy. My 24 EC 300, when the brakes were cold, it acted fine, normal lever feel. Mid race, the lever got stiff AF. Like something was blocking the lever stiff, but after a section where i wasnt on the brakes as much, the lever returned to normal.
Kind of hilarious that they are now concerned about a potential casting flaw with the front calipers.... but this issue with the rear calipers wasn't considered a casting flaw! 🙄
We got rid of our 2022 Husky because of this and the dealer who denied it was a problem.

A customer of mine just purchased a 2024 FE501 and had the dealer swap the front caliper for a Brembo unit. Problem solved.
The front Braketec junk on my MC350F was so weak I felt like I was going off-track entering corners.
I installed a brand new Nissin system from a 2018 CRF450R with a 270mm Galfer rotor to match my other bikes.
Problem solved.
Most guys love Brembo, but I prefer the shorter lever stroke and feel of a good CRF brake.
I think of the Nissin/Honda setup as a pressure modulated brake while the brembo feels more lever position modulated.
The Honda OE pads I like probably make a bit more noise than brembo, but that doesn't bother me.
Enduro bikes from '22(?)-'24. There were some TX300s with them too.
The final replacement procedure will be out soon. Once it is in place it should be an easy in and out at your local dealer

Thankfully my early production 22 GG came with Brembos.
Yep, my 23 TX has them and they blow. The rear is fine I guess but the front has crap for power. Also came with a non-sealed chain yet Husky didn't adjust the price at all. I had Magura on my older husky and they were great but they really shit the bed with the braketech's.
Yep my 23 TX300 came with braketech. Shortage on parts so we got screwed at the time. Bike was listed with brembos on the Husqvarna website but at dealers almost all had braketech
It has been about a month and I'm considering bringing my bike in with the stock BrakeTec front system for the recall...
Does anyone know what the fix is?
New brake caliper or caliper bracket?
Call the dealer and provide the VIN# and they will get you sorted out. Should be easy

Yes, and pretty much since they have been on KTM/Husky/GasGas.
That's why Brembo bought Braketec -- to satisfy the KTM need.
Of all the brands we deal with, Husqvarna is by far the hardest to work with as far as recalls and the downright rudest to its dealers and customers. The 701 Svartpilen/Vitpilen street bikes had an issue with the gas tanks melting from improper material and pouring gas onto the motor and rider. It took a year for that to become a recall, when it became one the customers who had paid out of pocket for a fuel tank did not get reimbursed due to the fact that the bike had an upgraded tank and did not fall within the recall protocol. It has only gotten more noticeable under the new ownership.
