Because if this was the standard format it wouldn't hit the same way this does when it's only a couple times per year and the races being this short does take some things away. Tell me you wouldn't want to see another 10 minutes of the end of that last 450 race?

This. And the track is the star of the night. Not so much the triple crown
Both formats have their pros and cons, I'm glad we get both. The regular format main events definitely have a bigger build up and allow opportunities for crazy comebacks and epic rides. The Triple Crowns are great for just getting right into the race action without the heats/LCQ's. I do like how the Triple Crown isn't as frequent, makes it feel unique.
It beats the ever living fuck out of watching heat races and commercials for 3 hours of a 3 and a half hour program
I'm not saying the normal format is perfect but I do think we need the longer mains to test fitness, let guys work through pack, take some emphasis off just the start, etc. Crazy idea but maybe the solution is something like 2 longish motos?
Yea its awesome. The heats and lcq are ok, but they dont count for anything so its kind of a waste of time. 6 straight races that all count is awesome!
Riders hold back in heat races if they are in position, as they should. In these races it's 100% the whole time. I dig it, but not sure I would want it at every race.

Exactly. If that was a 20 minute main it would have been even better. Or atleast match it to 250 race length ratio.
Triple crown 450 races should be 15+1.
250s run 2/3rds of their regular main. 450’s should do the same. I just want more racing and time to make up for a bad start. Tomac would have been on the podium after being deadlast with s few more minutes.
The holding back happens all the time in third race of triple crowns. Plenty of times where guy doesn't have anything to gain in overall by passing guy in front of him and they both know it.

Jett was cruising until Chase caught him in that second moto. Jett didn’t need to beat Ken and raced accordingly.
Unless all mains pay points. Riders don't have a reason to always push forward in triple crowns either. Jett can finish second race 3 no matter who wins and the night is his.
Hopefully no one breaks that math down for him. I want races where the riders NEED to win.

Nope cause I already had 24 minutes of 450 main event riding before that.

LoL I literally just had the same thought. Two 15's. All the extra starts and the possible carnage that could possibly come from them are what turns me off to a whole season of triple crowns. Now you could say it's only one more start than a normal night. But over the course of a season that's 17 extra starts. That's a lot of more chance for start carnage. And I want the mains to test the riders fitness more than a 10 minute main
There are a lot less lappers to deal with impacting the race leaders in the current format. The 250s hardly have nay lappers unless a racer crashes and falls way back. If the 450s get a clean start and run mostly clean laps, they might hit 2-3 lappers in a race. I do like that aspect of it.
And as for the race last night how about the moron track worker that put the tough block on the down side of the triple going into the 180 bowl turn after the finish line jump. Before the first race, I knew somebody was going to land on it. Sure as shit, Schock lands on it and crashes. Then the same moron track worker puts the same tough block back on the down side of the jump FURTHER into the track where other riders could land on it. After the first race was over, they finally moved the tough block down into the flat off the side of the track where it was supposed to be and the crowd cheered when he moved it. Complete total dumbass stuff.
I wish there was more incentive to win so you didn't see guys cruise to the finish complacent with where they are. I really like the shorter mains, 20+1 is too damn long and you rarely get a fight to the end. I'd like to see every race a two main event per class and maybe a single B main for each class for cash only, no points.
I forgot it was a triple crown and wasn't able to watch Raceday Live. Was surprised when it went right in to the racing. I've been impressed and excited with all the racing up till now, but the triple crown did not enthuse me. I like to watch the qualifiers, watch the LCQ's pretty much in fast forward. I'm just not big on three short races. Plus without that third main, Jett wouldn't have dabbed his foot. Just my opinion.

You could get the first gate pick and it turn out to be the worst. They should all be points races.

20min is too long? So you're not a fan of outdoors?
6 races that matter.
Likin’ the TC more n more

The nationals beat all the formats period!!
I liike the racing better as well as well as picking fantasy riders.
Sexton has nothing to gain by going after eli. Can cruise in second and take the overall. This is also part of triple crown format.
It was on Webb to pressure Sexton.
Nope cause I already had 24 minutes of 450 main event riding before that.
But the opposite happens as well.
Pit Row
That was the best track in a long time imho!
Two 15's would be about right i think.

The only thing that made it work this time was a track you could actually pass on.
Go back to startercross and it's shit again.

A couple more Triple crown races would be nice and a good way to mix things up.

Run a “B” main during the night show like they do in arenacross.
That was the best race of the year in both classes. No doubt about it
