Loved Gookinaid. You can still buy it under the name Vitalyte of all things! Ha The fruit punch is close to the original but not quite the same.

You've had  Pripps Plus to drink on race day. (Love this thread btw)

The MXL boots were made in Pennsylvania (as were the Castre gloves) not too far from where I lived so I was supporting local companies.

I also remember my Oury grips, Terry fork kits and cables, and my Works Performance Shocks

edited: They were Pennsylvania based companies and the products may have been made elsewhere.

You ordered parts by looking at a microfiche.

If you used to ruin your underwear every time you rode because "weasal squeezers" hadn't come out yet. Boy did Mom hate that!

My 1st Mx bike bought on my birthday on IMG 2411 2IMG 2409 0.jpeg?VersionId=Yi1s 0n sGV1YqJfTMkeTNP2611-18-89.  Bike had a NSR port job for hill climbing, it ripped.  The shock did too or should I say broke.  4th gear in 4 ft whoops & boom.  WP shock was Really good.  I miss 1.99 trans oil in 98 yet.

When you go to the doctor and he requests X-rays for both knees and both shoulders….. 🥴 lol

Funny,  I started a new job early last year and for the pre employment physical the Dr asks  if I had any surgeries and that was the first time I rattled them off in succession.  He says, “wow you’ve had a few, ever thought of giving up dirt bikes?” Me-“NOPE”

Keep on, keeping on bros!

Oh brother, I think I scored 100.

Here’s a few more—

you rode a “$2 ride or watch” race.

You used 50 wt Castrol GP 4 stroke oil mixed 20:1 in your CZ.

You got tired of replacing the needle and needle jet in your Jikov, and all its other foibles, and replaced it with the GYT Kit Mikuni for a DT-1.

You checked the primary chain for broken rollers on your Maico 400/450/490 after every moto.

You had a Mark Charles stand.

Still wear a chest protector outside of your jersey.

You ordered from an accessory house advertisement in MXA, and the place was called BOMP…Balls out Moto Products. You thought a Yamaha Mini Enduro was the best looking motorbike ever !  And kinda still do.

Beat the steel ones that would break and kill your top end.

And they were "progressive".

I had Malcolm Smith 'gold medal' leathers, Hallman boots and an Electro lid !

Only thing I have left from that old kit is the jersey.

You appreciate electronic ignition & disc brakes for the revelations that they were.

If you had Akront rims with sheet metal screws through the side for rim locks, safety wired spokes and Cheng Shen knobbies.
