Yeah, I think it makes it more interesting when there is at least one guy that goes opposite of everyone else. Like I said, I like the other riders as well and I like the fact that someone (Juju) is making Deegan fight for it. But it's way more fun to watch when there is a Hannah vs. Howerton or Villopoto vs. JLaw or Deegan vs. JuJu. We've also gone through years of robots on the podium being politically correct and going down the list to thank the last sponsor, it's nice to actually have someone not afraid to speak his mind again because it's rare.

The biggest difference I see with the guys you mentioned is that Hannah & Howerton, and RV & JLaw genuinely didn't like each other. So far, Deegan's tried to start feuds with every top factory 250 guy except Jo, and none of them have taken his stinkbait.
He did Title 24 as well as pulp, and maybe one other one.

So yes, "boring" was the wrong word. I don't think the races are boring at all as long as there are two guys in every race that are close to each other at the front of the race. Right now, Deegan is one of those and he's also a lightning rod for discussion, which makes it more fun. I like the nationals way more than supercross, but I will say with all sincerity that '23 outdoors was indeed boring with Jett just checking out from the first turn every moto. Those races I did actually stop watching.
I love the story of him having his mechanic bring one of those big hogie sandwiches out to the start line and laying on Marty Tripes front fender as they were sitting on the gate. He mentioned that Marty could not resist food. That's some funny shit. Floating around is also a pic floating around on the web, just goofing around, of Hannah poking a stick through Tripe's front wheel while on the gate.

In many ways you are likely right. Not a Brian Deegan fan, but it's hard to question the fact that he understands promoting and marketing a brand. That's really all he is doing and pretty successful at it. He's going to do what's necessary to pump up Haiden's value. This will only help his son come contract time. I'm sure Star doesn't mind having the longest lines in the pits. At the same time, I'm also sure it's a little difficult to deal with at times and already has created animosity among some of his teammates.
