Bring back Langston and Kevin Windham
JT, Weege, Stewart, AC and Justin Brayton are all amazing in the booth. We don’t need to bring back anyone from a decade ago to make it an elite broadcast. Just drop RC and get stew on there more often then shift AC up when stew is out
I don't know why people immediately go to extremes when you state the obvious. Nobody hates RC, his broadcasting skills suck, that's all.
Right. People often have posts on here like this “vitards have one opinion today and another tomorrow”…..
There are hundreds, if not thousands of people posting here. It’s not a hive mind forum. There are people posting different opinions about the same subject haha do they really think “vitards” are the same 5 people

RC does not understand his role in the booth, he is not a good at calling the race as it happens, he needs to add expert commentary after the play by play is called by who ever is hired to call it. Surprisingly no one within the broadcast / production team appears to want to coach him into his role….his predictions are often wrong or contradictory, much better off evaluating what just happened vs what he thinks might happen….
Its not easy, you have to have a connection with the the guy in the second chair, i will say that Weege and RC is better than Diffey and RC, but Diffey is an all motorsports guy who isnt specifically SX .. he is a pro at a level you dont see often.
I would like to think RC's bumbling dingbat in the booth deal is just a staged act to make him appealing or "homey" to average viewers. It almost seems like it is on purpose at times.
I don’t gripe about RC because he does a lot better than I ever could, but I will say he doesn’t look comfortable.
That was after he clearly said that Justin Cooper jumping through the whoops “wasn’t going to get it done tonight”. Then he floppped
I agree, its not easy. If I were RC, I would watch a bunch of old Sx races with Eckman & Bailey to understand his role.
It truly is wild how bad he is at predicting things as well as the english language. Football analysts (former players) are usually pretty spot on with prediciting things. Ricky is terrible. He is a great guy, it is sad to hear him fumble literally every thought he tries to convey.
The hard part for me is listening to him talk about how amazing the guys getting lapped in 18th place are. They clearly and obviously are good riders, but it sounds like he's saying it while thinking to himself that he would pass them on the outside, while sitting on the seat, eating a candy bar, waving to the crowd.
“Why I say that is…”
For the years before Stew, he didn't really try and predict anything. He lived for "inside, outside", "don't follow", and "now that he was passed he can learn from him" etc. Stew has a great understanding and vision for what is happening and RC just doesn't. His ego seems to be in the way of recognizing this, but it's amazing the ones responsible for role have not.
The whole crew is killing it - JT was at his best last night ! ! Weeg 100%. RC - yeh, not sure if i would be upset if he got parked but i'm guessing monster isn't gonna let that happen. Other than RC there is as much talent on the RDL and main show as there is on the track.
There is a lot of brain surgeons that could perform an operation better than me. That doesn't mean I would want all of them to work on a loved one of mine.
I love RC but last night was brutal. At this point he is the clear weak spot in the broadcast overall operation.
if RC added some technical knowledge or some race craft experience to the broadcast that would be OK. But he doesn’t say anything that the average person can’t see, like “here comes Deegan coming up the inside!” same obvious shit over and over again. Really annoying.
RC and Stewart were killers and absolute masters on the race bike. But neither of them are entertaining at all as announcers. I hate to keep complaining about this shit, but goddamn can’t we get some professional announcing around here?
Pit Row
Honestly, thru-out the night, it happened to both of them…
During the Anderson-Jett moments it was hilarious. All El Hombré & The Jett we’re doing was attempting to race the living shit outta each-other and stay off the ground. Yet, the announcers were trying to turn it into some sort of “made for tv drama” that simply WAS NOT happening.
The podium conduct, congratulations and outright appreciation that was shown to each-other told the tale.
I’m jus’ sayin’…
My whole post was a joke using RC’isms lol I thought people would’ve gotten the references 🤷🏼♂️
RC’s broadcasting skills are about as good as Deegan’s post race interview skills. Both great racers. Speakers not so much.
Peacock knows it's audience. RC talks like the average motocrosser would. Not polished at all, I think that's what they want. This isn't F1. These guys that run the show don't seem afraid of removing people from their roles, so they must be happy with RC's performance.... he's been doing it for how many years now? He's outlasted everybody. Get used to it, I don't think he's going anywhere. One foot in, one foot out....
RC completes the mix. Is he verbose, no. Is he eyecandy, no. Is he going to do trackside interviews digging for tea, no. Is he the GOAT, yes. and that's why he needs to be there.
Somebody must be paying. Nobody can listen to this and say it’s good.
I think that statement overlooks the mindless banter of Supercross Screech "I was talking to....today".
He was a great racer. His job now is to be a great communicator. He’s terrible at that. So yeah no, he doesn’t need to be there because he was a great racer. It’s so dumb.
There's still a lot of racing left.
What’s hilarious is that you believe Jett isn’t more patient and hesitant passing JA.
Monster is the series sponsor. Monster also personally sponsors RC, who is the GOAT of the sport. He's terrible as a play by play or analyst or whatever he is, but he could literally fart into the mic for 20 plus 1 and they still won't get rid of him. We can only hope for a new broadcast deal soon...
Trying to predict what's going to happen on track is a dangerous game. A few wrong calls and you've lost your value.
I think if RC would spend more time speaking about what's "going through the riders head" it would be more of a relatable message for him.
We all know he has something inside that we don't, they just need to discover how it applies to the fan base.
