You'll learn to dislike anyone in the booth with due time, Ralph and Emig were hated on here before RC and Weeg.

I have to agree. Does SX has british/ausssie/nz broadcast? Or even some "spanish language" broadcast. I can take italian or german too, czech... whatever. I just cant stand RC anymore. Its getting SO ANNOYING that hes ALWAYS inflating the riders, hes always "Oh this guy is though to pass" - just to see the guy lose the position 5 secs after. Thats SO ANNOYING, honestly haha. I know "we are getting great racing", but boooy, this guy is annoying.(I never had a problem with Ralf, no idea why they cut him. He is the voice live on the stadiums, right?)

Only because RC takes away from the broadcast and adds absolutely nothing. Deegs at least is known to ruffle feathers and owns it

Just got Ricky out the booth and put back a different past rider. Weeg is awesome in the booth and no one beats JT on the track!

across all sports commentating (and athletes in many cases) there is a common throughline in fan critque.  What we currently have isn't as good as what we had.

I agree that nostalgia can play into this, but I think a lot of folks just have an issue with there being better current options than what the broadcast team actually puts out there. Daniel Blair was great, and Stew is great. The year they rotated through analysts outdoors was awesome...most of those guys stepped in for 1-2 races and were better than RC. Heck, JB and AC are pretty good. There are a lot of good options and for some reason we go with less than good.

Aside from them sticking with RC, my biggest complaint with the current broadcast is that there are too many voices. Two in the booth and one trackside is plenty, and just let them call the race. They take up the first several laps with pre-planned stories instead of just calling the action.

For the record, I was never a fan of Emig and Ralph, but was good with Eckman and the Daves. Am fine with Diffey and Weege. Also have liked nearly all the trackside reporters. It's definitely possible to identify people better suited for the job without necessarily letting bias cloud judgment.

Weege is great, RC is horrible. Stew does a good job and is entertaining but I'd love to see Fro back in the booth. 

I thought Ralph and Jeff were great during the WSX Rounds at the end of last year.

If this was Harris-Carmichael I would agree. I loved Ralph and Jeff, they are still my favorite commentary duo of all time, just the energy that Ralph brought was unforgettable, and he may have been the reason I fell in love with Supercross in the first place. However, Weege is irreplaceable in the booth, and to his credit, Ricky has improved since he started commentating in the early 2010's. I used to not be able to stand him, but now he's just alright. Can't deny the passion and experience he has in the sport at this point, and his commentary is perfectly fine, not perfect for sure, but fine. I do wish we got Bubba more often, but I am perfectly content with this booth.

eckman & bailey were #1 for me. i wish we could of got eckman in for straight rhythm a couple years ago. that would of been his last time to call moto. i did grow to like ralph and all of his ralphisms/incoherent screamings. i liked that he used "bar to bar" from time to time. fro was a great stablemate to ralph. i do wish he was still on the broadcast be it rdl, or maybe a lurch type spot. 

imo we are spoiled with jb/ac on rdl and weege and jt for the night show. i hope they stay for as long as they can.

Weege should be in the booth every weekend, no question.

Art Eckman and David Bailey were the greatest duo our sport has ever had. Such chemistry and respect for each other.

I’m old enough to be nostalgic, but unfortunately you can’t go home.  Everything had its time, and was great then but can’t be replicated without tarnishing what was.   The current guys are great, can’t wait to see who replaces RC though.

Emig, fine, but Ralph is horrible. All hail Weege.

Using 'trigger' to criticise someone's reaction to something implies they have no grounds for that reaction. However, in the case of RC he is clearly terrible at colour commentary and always has been.  People aren't triggered by RC they're just legitimately tired of his terrible 'commentary'. 

Ralph? No thankee! I'll take Weege and put up with RC
