Masterpool is an excellent rider, but just doesn't seem to have the precision/patience necessary to excel in SX. He's been at it long enough for the results and injuries to speak for themselves. But he's an absolute stud outdoors.

My unsolicited advice: Stick to AMA MX only ORRRRR.... Seek an MXGP ride when his PC contract is up.

I believe Ty would thrive in an environment where there's no pressure to go indoors and his entire year could be dedicated to hammering out motos. There hasn't been a token American with real GP title potential for several years and he's already proven that he can ride a 450 as well. With the Coenens and possibly De Wolf heading to the US soon, and Gasjer, Herlings and Febvre getting on in years, there could be space for someone like Masterpool to have some real success abroad.

PC does have some bad luck atm. They just need to allow Drew to ride at A2.

How about a guy already on a Kawi…. Sign Hunter Yoder for the balance of the season.  He’s already making mains and healthy.

I’m trying to remember who the PC curse started with? 2012ish with AC is where my mind goes. I do remember Durham and a few other of the guys that rotated in throughout the years had some pretty big injuries that took up a lot of that short time on the team.

I feel like there’s been guys that start their careers at PC and never make it out. Durham and Chris Alldrege come to mind. Both promising young riders on PC and nothing really came of it

I like Masterpool but I dont see a team giving him a 250MX only deal and winning a 450 MXGP title seems a little far fetched for a guy thats only won one 250 moto.

Hence the proposition that he go to MXGPs where it is all MX-only.

I think the operative word would be  "success" rather than "title." But plenty of riders have been signed to contracts with far fewer good results than Masterpool has. But where others have failed to deliver, I believe Ty (given the right support and environment) could be a consistent GP podium contender.

All it really takes for a rider of his caliber is a willingness to step out of his comfort zone in terms of living environs.

Now Garrett is out as well...could we see zero PC bikes on the line this weekend?

Mitch for whatever reason holds onto guys that can't go a season w/o getting hurt. Letting a guy like Shimoda get away combined with Kitchens would have been great. Hopefully Adams can get going and stay healthy.

Phil-in Nicoletti on the PC Kawi would put a green bike in the top 10!

He’s definitely not a supernatural at SX but he was coming off an injury and didn’t have a ton of prep time leading in to San Diego, him carrying the American flag in MXGP would be incredible though, I think he’s capable even though the tracks over there are so different

Phil made it to retirement relatively unscathed, can’t say I would wish the PC curse on him, as a fill-in at that.

This is why I’ve been saying Levi is such a talent and simultaneously I still believe in Jo, they’ve been the only two to somewhat tame the Kawi in the last handful of years and find sustained success. Jo definitely got injured a fair bit but I’ll always remember him in ‘22 MX

Agreed.......Hunter has potential. He had alot going for him and lost his ride at Geico when the team folded. With the right opportunity this kid could turn some heads.

Josh Grant says he’s down to race a PC bike.. per his story on IG.

Make it happen Mitch! Give us some excitement.

Either way, rooting for PC to make a comeback.

Doesn't kawasaki hire the riders?

They do now. Long gone are the days of a mix of Team Green prodigies and world champions

You guys are acting like its the team, unless its a bike failure, blame the riders.  Guys crash, it happens.

I was wondering the same. Was Shimoda the only one to stay healthy during his time there?

Still no news on Adams? Dude if I'm him I'm pissed and looking for a way out. To have a guy absolutely destroy at Futures, Loretta's, and Canada, and then the guy he beat up on last year is winning heat races while he sits on the couch.

I bet Forkner and Triumph are bummed they switched to the east coast, with the ever depleting field on the west coast as of now the east coast will be the tougher one. 😎

Yeah it will be fun to argue that if Deegs wins it was chip shot.
