He seems like he matured a lot over the offseason. When you watch his interviews, he looks like a locked in stone cold killer. 

I said it in another thread, but his main event ride at A1 was extremely mature. From a fan’s perspective I would have loved to have seen him track down Jo and race him. But from a strategic POV, he did exactly the right thing and just rode conservatively, while waiting for a mistake or crash from Jo. He will 100% win multiple races this year if he keeps riding like he did at A1. DB really knows how to pick out talent. 

That kid knows he can do it. His demeanor during those interviews yesterday were ice cold.

Hope he is able to stay locked in and yes, great to see the maturity in his race strategy. 

I think this kid might be the actual challenger to the chosen one.    In his interviews, he does look like a stone cold killer.  Not somebody who Deegs can fuck with maybe?   I guess we will see.  He's already out-qualified Captain America.  This could be good!   Might be a bigger challenger than Kitchen was.  I sure hope so because Deegan running away with the west would be a snooze fest, and only embolden the bed bugs 😬

He had some pretty good races last year. I thought he might step it up a little more this year, hopefully he can keep it up. Pretty good race for KTM considering all of the other issues.

Yes very impressed and looking forward to watching his future rides. He needs a better nickname.

Brian and Haiden Deegan unleashing the "standing slide turn" tech, still wasn't enough to beat a jet ski racers fast time in qualifying 🤣 all those little kicks n whips n trying to put sauce on everything to get beat straight up by juju was pretty funny

I agree, I was hoping he would catch Shimoda and challenge him a little more; however, for his second year vs Jo being several years into this, I thought his ride was great and something to build confidence on throughout the year. 

I did not know that.   Thanks for the history of it.  👍    It's a very cute "family" nickname....  just doesn't suit a pro athlete IMO.

I can’t believe everyone is already talking about Julien for possibly multiple race wins and he’s only just started his 2nd professional season. He’s made unreal strides in the last year and a half. Even though it’s early I can’t wait to see where he fares in the east west shootout, I feel he could surprise there too
