I'm glad we can all agree that 400M market cap was BS

You know, if you're interested in market cap you should either use a graph in market cap or be ready to do simple maths.

500 M market cap divided by 33,796,535 shares is 14.79 € per share so if you could draw a little red line a bit lower it would intersect with December 20th, just like in the graph I posted. So glad we're in agreement again, wether you count this in dog years or whatnot.

Sure, but in the situation they're in, couldn't it be better in the long term for stock holders to take a dilution hit now to get the show back on the road?

Is there a more favorable outcome possible for them?

Unfortunately the answer is probably no, but that’s the risk people take in investing in publicly traded companies.

KTM's problems are entirely their own fault. Funny how MxAddic's detractors seemingly have more problems with his opinions than they do with KTM shitting bed and screwing over just about everyone they're involved with.

I can't speak for anyone else but my problem is he comments on things he doesn't understand and does so with confident authority. It's not just this thread/subject.

One can choose his own exercise in futility.

Some would enjoy ranting about a CEO on a message board, some would enjoy pointing out what's factually wrong in other users posts. These aren't mutually exclusive either.

I chose my own way to piss in the wind, thank you.

Now that it’s hit NA I wonder if that changes the must race perception. Bummer to hear.

Agreed. This whole ordeal affects so many people.  I know a month or two ago there were statements like "KTM-NA is a separate entity and is profitable".  My guess is the layoffs here (KTM-NA) will fly under the radar of most of the general riding/racing public.

Still no news with how this would affect the gasgas-husky-ktm teams?

Layoffs, yet lets go racing and pay a 100k win bonus.

Where are you guys getting info about NA layoffs?   Any articles or press releases announcing this?  I'm not seeing anything via some google searches, not really seeing anything.  Please post links to this info.

Why would there be press releases of them laying off employees? Very unfortunate on what is going on there. Bunch of good people who worked hard for the company getting chopped while all the executives and managers are getting by.

Because most companies have the decency to at least announce and acknowledge it publicly instead of doing it quietly and hoping nobody notices

And just like MAGIC we have a 400M market cap again. Such a great victory to bust my balls on semantics to be right for 1 day. GJ!

Unless you plan on running all aftermarket parts it's time to switch brands. Austria has stopped paying their vendors and NA will soon follow suit. Stock parts are going to be extremely hard to find and most likely will only be available for warranty jobs. Once race season is in full effect obtaining OEM parts will be near impossible. I’ve been an “orange bleeder” for over a decade but know it’s time to make a change.

Speaking of this, I’m no financial expert, so can someone explain to me who would be buying the stock at this point?  Someone must be for the stock to be fluctuating up and down like it is.

There will always be people that think it will rebound and go higher and people that think it will go lower. Some are likely trying to dump the stock while also getting the most back out so you’ll see it be very volatile for a while.

Screwed over their employees as well. As a business owner myself, on a much much smaller scale, I wake up every morning thinking of the responsibility I have to my customers, suppliers, and employees. Evidently KTM doesn't. Doesn't KTM make frames for Rieju, Sherco, Fantic, and Beta along with other components?

Well that doesn’t sound great.  As owner and fan of the brand I hope it doesn’t get this bad.  Guess I should order a timing chain to be safe.😞

If they aren’t paying vendors, I would stock up on any OEM parts you think you might need for the foreseeable future.
