You need to be a dealer to buy new bikes at auction. If you’re seriously looking for something, after they list the models that will be available, let your dealer know what you are willing to pay for the model you are looking for. If he can find it for less than what you offered, he can buy it for you. You’ll get the deal you wanted, and the dealer might still make a few bucks. Win/win.

How can KTM North America claim they’re profitable so there’s no problem? Whatever funny money statistics a creative financial guy will twist can make that seem plausible but the parent company bears the brunt of development and liability costs. Worked with a dealer in 09 that told the three manufacturers to get bent when they tried to strong arm them into ordering more units for 2010. The old man that owned the dealership was not in the mood to play games and told them to come get all their crap. They quit being a dealer all together.

They could do final assembly in Austria, from parts manufactured in India and/or China, and still claim manufactured in Austria, I would be surprised if they aren't currently doing that for many parts.

I also have an open mind, but you need to take off the tin foil hat. KTMs issues are not in any way connected to a movement to wipe out all debt and have crypto replace all currencies. It's due to really really bad decisions made by senior leadership. And if Austria were to bail out KTM, I would be absolutely shocked if the existing leaders continued on in their current roles. It’s in the country’s best interests to try and keep high quality manufacturing jobs that export products globally.
