Incorrect, they are selling Specialized Turbo Levo Alloy Gen III, new for 3,500 plus tax. Probably less with negotiation, the market is quite flooded.

I got a Medium Moro 05 with intentions to upgrade. During pre-Black Friday 2022 version of Fox Factory suspension was on sale so I got a Factory 38 Fork in 170 and a Float X Factory 120x55, along with a Transfer dropper post. I also got a 4 pot rear caliper. 

Got it all installed and its looking great. Fortunately/unfortunately it's ski season and I have too much snow outside to ride.

 Im 5'8'' about 160lbs, seemingly on border of M and L...  what size are you guys riding?

I'm 5'10 and got a medium as it's the same size as my large stump jumper. I'm happy with my decision.

I’ve got a Med Pro and a large 07 
I’m able to adjust to both with no issues and I’m 5’8” 190 ish. 

The 07 is more stable and the Pro feels easier to maneuver . 
I enjoy both . 
I was able to ride my MED pro and a friends large 07 back to back  on a familiar trail and rather quickly bought the large….

You’re in a tough spot. Its best to look at some geo numbers and ride some bikes to get a feel for what you want. A medium is around 450mm reach and a Large can be 465-490 which is a big range. Some large bikes I can make work but most of the time I’m a medium. 

I’m 5’9” on a good day. 

Trek offers a M/L in their non ebike bikes and that’s the sweet spot for me.

I’d go medium if you are normal proportions.

I tried to buy from my local guy that sold me the first Pro and he was considerably more 

I believe they were low on medium inventory but had a decent amount of large when I purchased mine

I highly recommend them 

Malcolm was very responsive and knowledgeable 

I'm just under 6ft and got my Pro in Large. I have a One-up stem that is 5mm shorter and running 5mm taller bars. For me that is perfect. I've ridden some friend's bikes (the yellow base and a couple 07s) with different set-ups in both Large and Med. 1 of my friends is slightly shorter than me (5 '10ish) and his 07 is a Medium. Another 07 I rode was a guy the same height as me and he is on a Large with a different bar/stem set-up than me (but similar.) I feel like if you are 5'9 to like 6ft you are right in that window where either will work. And of course you can dial everything in if you plan to change the bars, stem etc. My Specialized SJ Evo is an S4 sizing (which is similar to a Large) and I feel like the YDX feels similar but just a tad more open. And my buddy on the Medium 07 is also riding a new YT Jeffsey in Medium, so just for reference if you need regular MTBs to compare.

These bikes are awesome imo

I don’t run the motor all the time , only when I’m fired or in some tuff spots 

I get a great workout and can extend my rides versus the std bike 

I still really like the std as they are so light and maneuverable but overall im really enjoying these bikes 

Although not a Yamaha I got me a specialized turbo levo comp carbon for $3999, normally $9000 definitely a good time to get a deal on bikes  

Just picked one up today. Went in to have some mapping done and tires swapped out on the RX and I couldn't pass up the bike. I paid a little more than most of you guys, but I also don't mind helping out my dealer anyway I can during these times. A couple hundred bucks wasn't going to make or break the deal. One guy bought three while I was there, they won't be around much longer.

Going to Cahuilla tomorrow, so probably won't get to take it for a spin until Monday afternoon. Can't wait, first e-mtb for me.

I finally picked up my pro yesterday.  I ended up driving 4 hours to find a medium.  I got to ride it for the first time this morning and I'm pretty blown away as a person with no e bike experience.  I own the local moto track and put a few laps in just to kind of figure it out, I hope to hit the trails in the morning.

Really tempted to jump on these Yamaha ebike deals (if there are any left).

I don't know shit about the Mountain bike scene or manufactures, how does the PMG/KTM issues with their ebike division imploding impact the category? Are their ebikes similar quality or completely different categories?

Just wondering if they will start blowing out their ebikes too and bring down prices even more?

Prices are at the bottom. And the Moro is no longer going to be produced. This is the time to buy. All the brands are clearing any and all inventory to free up cash flow. 

Factory power sports  St. George shows over 80 of them on their website. Between myself and my nephew we’ve put 75 miles on the Moro pro I bought there. It’s a really good bike. It’s better on the small bumps than the specialized I have 3x the $ into

Prior to this week, I had no clue as to how an emtb worked...I thought maybe you could just set on it and give it the juice and go.  

McG194, thanks for starting the thread and thanks to walent215 for giving the low down on the shop out of Wilmington NC selling them for a measly $1800.  

As suggested, I called them and asked for Malcolm and he made it a piece of cake getting it sent my way.  While talking with him, I at first told him one bike and then thought I'd mention to my wife that I was ordering one and that she could ride it when we go riding so that she could keep up. Turns out, she told me to get two of them as she didn't want to feel like she was cheating. So, told Malcolm to send two Moro 05s.  Malcolm also said they recently found a less expensive way to ship the bikes so it cost about $300 to have both bikes shipped. 

First time taking it up our driveway, I realized pretty quick how the electric pedal assist works...pretty interesting

If i was getting an ebike… and i am soon. 
Id be after a Spesh Levo or Focus Jam.  Best no fuss working ebikes. Geo works great. Tough market for bikes so bargain hard, as shops were more than happy to charge hard during good times, so hard times we do the same paradoxically.

I must say Rycky Carmipoto was the member who shared the info regarding Malcolm and the North Carolina dealership , I just had to investigate …LOL!

Been watching this thread - interested in Yamaha for awhile but e bike $$$ were a "No" for me.                                                                             When When blowout prices came, talked to my wife about getting one - she said "Can I get one too?"  (What a great help meet!) 

Both of us are specific about bike fit, so really wanted to try before buying.                                                                                                                 Rick's Yamaha in Lockport, Ill (near Chicago - 2 hrs from me) had units in stock so it was New Year's eve road trip to check out ebike moto.

Dealer set "phasers to full" on both bikes for test ride - two pedal strokes and I couldn't stop laughing out loud!                                                             It's 40 degrees and raining and wife is 1/2 block ahead of me and yelling "Yahoo!"                                                                                                             I knew we had just bought 2 bikes...                                                                                                                                 

I've ridden moto since the 70's and MTB since mid 80's and this is the most fun I've had on wheels!                                                                             Motor makes it feel like someone just pushed you down the biggest toboggan hill in town!  

We get home after dark and it's now 35 degrees and raining and wife says, "Can we go for a ride?"                                                                             Head to church parking lot up the road for 20 minutes of fun.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   Really looking forward to riding these on our trail system and will allow much better riding time together than with our regular mtb's or quad\moto that we've done in the past.     

Dealer took really good care of us and quickly assembled my wife's bike since they didn't have her size on the floor.

They've got about 40 more units on hand if you're in the Chicago area and have interest in e bike.

What kinda price did you pay for each bike out the door?  Moro 5 or 7? 

So I've finally had a couple rides on the new Moro... It's an absolute blast to ride and I am definitely out of shape, but does anyone have a cure for hitting the inside of your knees on the upper swingarm pivot? JFC I have hit it way too many times already.

This is my e-bike, it’s a Giant but it’s got a Yamaha motor, this thing is a beast. 

Thanks!  Rode today for 40 minutes - dry, but 25 degrees with biting wind.  We're blessed to have 4-5 miles of trails on our 26 acre "trail farm".  We literally rode out of the garage and down to our lowland (wind is blocked down there).  Just a lot of fun.

Shop had the Pro, Moro and Moro 5 models. We got Moro 5 for $2300 each (Yamaha sale price).  I've got a long bike business history and the upgraded motor and parts spec was good for me.  Shop owner's son rides the 5, also.    

I usually try to haggle but didn't, and realized this morning that Wilmington price of $1800 was for 5 model (not the Moro as I thought).  The Grinch in me was a bit bugged, but then I remembered the following:

-Shipping from NC would've offset some of the price difference and it's nice to have the bike TODAY.

Even though we showed up about 45 minutes before closing on New Year's eve:  

-Bike fit very important for both of us - we know they fit 

-Shop quickly assembled wife's bike and set suspension for her weight - I can do that but nice for it to be ready to ride, no extra work for me. 

-Owner seemed to take a shine to my wife and gave her upgraded pedals ($60+) for free

-Helped me load the bikes in sleet storm and gave me some straps for free to ensure everything was secured.

-Reminded me to contact him for any issues as he would be my warranty contact, if needed.   

-The fun and excitement my wife and I had going after the bikes at the last minute and it was a great story to tell my son and grandson when we got home. 

Wife and I have gone riding together 3X in last 24 hr - more than we did motos or non e-bikes for all of 2024
