Anyone had issue with the PC Full TI  exhaust rattling between the header and muffler ?

Anyone home remedies ?

PC said it was somewhat common on the Ti exhausts and they do full exhaust service which includes fixing that but it’s a 4-6 week turnaround.
**** I bought an exhaust expander but kinda nervous to try it on titanium.

That's common with both sides being ti. You can combat this a bit using a stainless header

I seem to remember a problem with ti and SS welding itself together. This can happen right?

This is probably a dumb question, but I don't want to screw up my airbox cover and graphics.  Are there any tricks to drilling holes in the airbox cover?  Should I remove the OEM foam on the inside?  I'm going to use a forstner bit.  Is there any risk screwing up the graphics?

Start but cutting out the extra material on the inside of the air box

This is what I did.  I just used my dremel to take about a half inch of material all the way around where the airbox seals against the back side of the side panel.  Between that, pulling out the plug at the top, and the Pro Circuit exhaust, my bike straight rips.  Normally I go up a tooth on the rear sprocket on every bike I own to get quicker acceleration, but not this one.

Full exhaust or just muffler?

Full exhaust, but only because I got a smoking deal on it.  I rode a friend’s bike with just a slip-on, and I couldn’t tell the difference.

Picking up a new 24 this week for what I think is the current low score. Total out the door - taxes is under $6k. There are some deals to be had out there

Yea I was surprised. They originally said something like $7500, I said thanks but no thanks, and they came back with the lower figure.

Power said they didn't have any 24s left. I'll post the dealer name after I pick it up this week

I am super happy with my 2023 but the deals on leftover 24's are insane right now. Dealers are hot to trot. Is it worth upgrading? I've rode two and liked them a lot. Do the 24's sitting on dealer floors have the frame recall already done?

I found the holdover pricing too good to be true also.  I think the 24 handles much better with far better front end feel and the ability to take inside lines easily.  The front brake is also noticably better imo.  I just found the motor weird with it not being able to really pull 3rd.  The vibration is much more annoying compared to the 22.  I also like the KYB forks on my 22 SR much better.  I did  FMF exhaust, the airbox mods, a 51 tooth rear sprocket and a vortex.  I also put the KYB's and X-trigs on from the SR.  I haven't ridden yet after making the changes.  My riding impressions was bone stock.

That’s a solid update. The only thing I’d disagree with is I hate the Brembo front brake 😂😂

I picked mine up at the end of October and the frame epoxy was already completed.
Anxious to ride it come spring.

The 3rd gear thing still has me baffled a tad. I race spring creek, sand tracks, tight tracks, etc and I’d say 96% of the time I shift to 3rd and don’t touch it. Stock gearing, fmf silencer, twin air powerflow, and that’s it. I know to each their own, but I guess it depends what tracks you’re riding and such. But gall dang do I love this bike.

This was the case with my new bike back in June. I believe all dealers were required to correct the recall after the problem was identified - I’d be surprised if any of the ‘24s still sitting on a floor haven’t had this done yet. Looked like a pretty quick and dirty epoxy and paint job for peace of mind. Still have the techs fingerprint embedded in mine 😂

Very nice! I’m still debating what bike I’m buying but these kx450s look suite for the $$$. My other option is the 25 yz450, I had a 23 n I don’t know if I need that much bike, the Yamaha is hard to beat stock for stock though.

I'm a sucker that almost paid full MSRP for 24 right when it came out.

I have no regrets.

I got the 24 KX 450. Great bike! Had to get an exhaust and open the airbox, but now it's perfect. I've ridden the new YZ great bike also just to much for me. As a older Vet 57 KX is really good.

Rocket bro - if you want to try a 24 let me know I’m not far from you. Just return the favor with your next bad ass build sometime!

And oddly enough, I think the Brembo front brake is one of the most noticeable improvements from my previous gen bike.
