Just pulled the trigger on a leftover 24! Excited to get back on kawis after being on an Austrian bike the last few years. I probably already know the answer to this but is there any hope in keeping the stock springs for a 165lb 40+b rider?

I've been running the XC Gear Mako 360 bar clamps for the last several years. Super strong, bars don't get twisted and I feel an improvement in small bump absorption. Keefer had a test where he wasn't as positive on them, but I'm a big fan.

Painfully accurate explanation of my experience. Maybe the 25+ chassis is sorted, but my 23 350 SXF was not good. I can only imagine how good the 23+ engine in the 21/22 frame with KYB suspension would be. "Ready to race" should be Yamahas slogan.

11/12/2024 8:56am I'm 5'6 and 147 lbs and went from a 23 Husky 350 to the KX....so far its been the best choice I've made. The power is 350 like but has more bottom end when needed and the handling is a lot better in my opinion.

I once changed the oil filter and reused the o-ring, pinched it, and didn’t realize until I started it up at the track. Oil started to seep pretty fast. I had a condom in the truck and cut the sleeve off, rolled it up to be a little closer to o-ring thickness, and swapped that out on the oil filter cover. Held snug for the rest of the day.

9/25/2024 4:25pm I’ve been thinking about the Ride ones due to the fact that they seem to be the only company that has tested for the 24’s. And bar holes misaligned?! Dang that’s unfortunate!

Yes. Ride Engineering that was made this year for the 24. I prefer them over stock. They feel more compliant and accurate. I only got them to begin with because the stock ones had the bar clamp holes misaligned.
