After all these years he still has a heavy French accent.

Was one of my favorite riders. So happy I witnessed 2004 Hangtown in person.

He had a good couple weeks that season. As with many, what could of been without injuries

Yea those couple of weeks were crazy, basically ran Stewart down at his peak in Vegas, then Hangtown and whatever else.  Crazy few weeks for him.

RonRonMX was a goated site. Will definitely give this a listen.

Roncada  was impressive not only in 2004 during a couple of weeks, guys...

His very first season (Honda of Troy) in 1997 was a very promising one : 2nd in supercross (125cc) and 5th in motocross (125cc). Amazing for a real newcomer!

The best season of his career was 2000 (Yamaha of Troy). SX champ' (125cc) and almost champ' in MX (late season knee injury "gave" the title to Pastrana in the very last moto of the 125cc championship).

And don't forget his 2002 Supercross season in the big boys category (factory Kawasaki), where he finished 5th in the final standings with several top5 finishes and a few podiums as well...

The end of his career was badly impacted by a very painful back issue... Too bad for him, and for us!

I remember DV slapped him around after a heat race. Think he was on Kawi then.

Ron Ron was one of the harder dudes to beat when he got the ball rolling. He was a killer on the 250s too. I remember him giving RC fits at Hangtown when they were both on 250s and RC stuffed him in the apex of a flat corner really hard and I think he got injured after that. Him, Pichon, and DV were fun to watch cause they had such unique styles and when they were on they were down to win at any expense. Not to mention Steve Boniface and others that came before and after.

That's because he's French.

Really cool to hear from Stephane! He was one of those guys that had serious speed but never quite got a handle on it.

He raced hard but that is something most loved! This is a video from 1996 from the Swiss Supercross in Geneva where he fights the local hero Philip Dupasquier.

I remember Stewart crying like a little school girl after RonRon beat him.

Was it Roncada that would wear his road bike (pushbike) gear in a tanning bed to make his trainer think he was doing work?

It was the weakest bitch slap I’ve ever seen. DV came away looking like a whiny punk after that.

I’ve always liked Ron-ron and his attitude. Very cool guy.

A lot of yelling at each other too, I always wondered if they were using French or English.

That’s typical Sorby 😂 so many good French guys around those years!

It was a good podcast overall, maybe a bit too much gaming stuff but it’s nice to see Ronron enjoying his life and get to know more of the behind the scenes of his career.

He should have got a couple more championships!

190 countries more or less in the world.
France seems to be especially good at motocross I have no idea why.   For the last 25 years it seems there’s always some French dude over here in the USA that is a legit contender running near the front.
Lately it’s Vialle a few years ago was Ferrandis etc. They doesn’t necessarily dominate but they are up in the front pack always.

Roncada, a truly legendary name in pro motocross. A truly underappreciated rider.

France is big into motocross. They have tracks everywhere, some official, some just in random fields, but they're still tracks to ride. And they ride anything, it doesn't matter if the track is prepared or not. Plus they have a strong SX series.

97 Gainsville National he & his mom where sitting at a table outside the rig. His mom was cutting holes in his jersey for the heat.  His mom seemed worried about it , like I cut more holes you,ll b alright. It was a little hot. His team mate Michael Craig had a big lead in 1 moto then crashed. RC won the overalll. His 2000 post race interviews where good. I,m very very happy it’s fun to battle with Travis etc.

Soccer and two wheels are just a part of life there.

Me too Craig was flying out front. I was in a crowd behind his wife & Johny O.  Johny says he just crashed.
