I wear glasses (I get eye problems with contacts). I use Scott Prospect which works great.

Curious, why not wear contacts instead of glasses?

I know contacts have their disadvantages but they'd be more comfortable than wearing glasses.

That's definitely an option I didn't consider. Will have to check into it. Thanks!
I wear Oakley RX glasses so they're kinda big like sunglasses and I wear Oakley Airbrakes. They do fit but are very snug, not to the point of uncomfortable though. Disadvantages to contacts and glasses, but if it's ever rainy and you're riding trails and whatnot the glasses will stay fogged. I usually stay with the contacts and a bottle of rewetting drops.

Reach out to Randy with www.pro-vue.com
he is heavily involved with moto as well, he got me a pair of the 100% Accuri’s (spelling?) the first ride felt a little weird after that I am used to them now. Tried contacts they weren’t for me moved and made my eyes dry out, never had a set of these won’t ride with out them now, as well his ease of contact and customer support is top notch!

100% Accuri OTG have been working well for me the last year or so.

Anybody running the prescription inserts? I never have, worth the $$$?

not what you asked but if at all possible, if you ride alot and it is a major part of your life, bite the bullett and go get lasik surgery. BEST decision I ever made but especially for riding!!Cool Cool

Anyone know of any of the anti-fog sprays or anything like that that works? Tried a few different ones and some home remedies so to speak and have had no luck. Tried contacts but couldn't get them in and getting them out would be another story. Even drilled a couple tiny holes in the lens (I ride by myself usually and don't wear goggles 95% of the time because of the fogging.) to see if more ventilation would help but it didn't. Usually its my glasses that fog up and only when I stop. Have been looking at the RXGoggles inserts for a while and cant stomach paying $150-$200+ USD for them.

Bought the Accuri OTG goggles from an excellent local shop (Manchester Honda/KTM//Husky) yesterday and used them today. Worked great. I’m still considering contacts or LASIK for the future though. Thanks for all the advice and pm’s!

I wear one of the 100% OTG models. Glasses fog if it's hot or humid. Looking into Lasik and if not that, going to look into RX and Pro-Vue.

Good morning people; full disclosure up front, I am a representative of Goggleman Eyewear in Adelaide, Australia.

To answer all the above questions; YES we do prescription goggles.

There are a few options, but typically we use our "RX Adapter" with Poly-carbonate lenses that inserts to the inside of your goggle. Poly-carb is near unbreakable (we have seen these take a rock to the face!) and we also offer a few choices in anti-fog.

Finally; we are a medicare registered business, so your private health rebates will apply (for Australians, anyway).

If you want to know more either follow the link below or give us a call in store (please mention you read this, it helps us!).

Cheers

I just started wearing contacts about a week ago myself, they take some getting used to and are not for everyone. So ive been wearing glasses under my goggles, but I don't currently ride moto, just dual sport. I have a pair of 100% and fly and both fit over my glasses no problem. I wouldn't recommend riding moto with glasses underneath though, if you go down theres a good chance they, as well as your face, are gonna have some damage.

Normal 100% goggles or otg? Cause I have heard that for some brands you don't need the otg model

I have 100% strata, accuri 2, accuri 2 otg that all work well with glasses on. The Armega does not work well for me with glasses, I’ll wear contacts when using those goggles.

It may also depend on the glasses you wear. I wear Oakley “airdrop” that are a lower profile.

I have no personal experience with using rx lenses but some of my friends have tried them with good results. Most of them didn't like riding with contacts (shifted while riding) and glasses underneath there goggle (some fit issues).

Second this, been using them for over 10 years.

Hated glasses and contacts when riding. Got eyes fixed with laser, end of story.

I have been using Scott OTG for a while now but for the glasses I have some kid sized frames with single vison lenses. They fit inside the googles a lot better. I only use them for riding. Trying to ride with blended lenses I kept falling inward on hairpin turns. In really wet conditions I do have issues with my glasses fogging but not the googles.

Have an older pair of Scott OTG. Not super comfy but they work. They really should be replaced, lenses are pretty well beat.

Last year I bought some goggle insert glasses based on my prescription, it was absolutely terrifying to try and ride with them, especially in ruts. I don't see how you guys are doing it! Lasik isn't an option for my condition unfortunately (at least that's what the eye doc told me). I need reading glasses for close up because of general age related vision problems, but in the past 10 years my distance vision is slipping too. Maybe I should look back into it to correct the distance aspect?

I just came across this vid on yu toob.

Interesting concept....

I have dealt with glasses and riding/racing for 40 years. Unfortunately I have never found a universal solution for the multiple problems associated with shitty eyes. Contacts work great until they don't...gotta keep eye drops with you to keep them lubed up or they get plucked out...

when the rain comes...forget it...you will struggle to see....rain x works great....but can bring on even worse fogging..

Riding with glasses means you really have to step up your goggle game. Multiple sets ready to go all the time...(for woods anyways)

Rain set.....no foam... yellow lenses....rain x multiple applications...do not touch them with cloth

Mud set.....no foam.....clear lens....roll offs...

Dust set......full foam.....baby oil on foam....red lenses...polished with end dust furniture polish that repells dust particles....(it's a thing)

Moto set.... afternoon.....full foam....dry....tinted lenses....polished with furniture polish

Moto set ..... morning.....full foam....dry....clear no tint lenses.....polished with furniture polish.

Completely ridiculous I understand but it makes glasses and goggles a much smaller issue

Due to needing multiple pairs of goggles....the cheaper the better so...the major goggle manufacturers aren't gunna get my money anymore

https://a.co/d/5axQ8eI

I rotate thru 10 pairs of these in different set ups for different conditions.
