Man surprised you dont think this is hearsay and more "kooksey" garbage.  Just kidding since it goes against your agenda to take your feelings out of it for deegan. So how does this appear to be true when cooksey never posts anything true? Come on Don take your feelings out of it. Lmfao

You can come back now instead of hiding and admit your strong feelings towards one rider got in the way of facts and the truth. That you just assumed. Might as well admit you watched a cooksey video too since Steve never mentioned Anderson once during any of this. Can just admit you're a hypocrite too while your at it or do we need screenshot proof? No one forgets how you acted towards "zero fact and 100% speculation" in the lacr thread.

Your obsession with me has gong beyond stalking and is now just fucking creepy....apparently you don't understand what the word apparently means....apparently you like to put words in peoples mouths....

This was my post...."Apparently part of the deal with the Lawrence's to do AusX was that the promoters couldn't  bring in Deegan and Anderson to do the race....beginning to think that Mirtl is a little bitch...if this is true, and it appears that it is, this is not a good look for Team Lawrence...."

You use apparently to indicate that the information you are giving is something that you have heard, but you are not certain that it is true.

Please go find someone else to obsess over as I'm done responding to trolls like you....

It doesn’t matter who started the conversation. AusX clearly would want a rider like haiden there under the right conditions. They had conversations months ago that went no where at the time. Both parties had a number in mind and ausX was apparently lower then what Haiden’s was.  They couldn’t come to an agreement. I don’t think it’s anything more or less then that.  If both parties agreed on a number whatever it was haiden would be there. They didn’t so he’s not.

after how the deegans handled mxdn and his wrist injury no one was thinking he would want to race aus.

I hate to be a dick but I can't imagine the number had not been agreed upon. That seems to be what this whole shtick is about.

I dunno how this going to get through you thick skull but yes they denied paying him a large contract to come race, but he could still race if he wanted to on his own dime.

The promoters are there to make money on the event. Paying haiden this late in the game when they won’t sell more tickets or be able to market his appearance would be foolish as it would affect there bottom line.

my sense is that with better timing on the negotiations (mid summer) and a commitment from Deegan they would have had an agreement.  But Deegan coming in 2 weeks before the event looking for a big pay day when the event is nearly sold out doesn’t make financial sense.

I never said that he couldn’t race so I’m not sure why you keep repeating that. It’s almost as if you are ignoring what I said about that thing you keep glossing over.

Agree to disagree I guess. The article suggests they couldn’t come to terms on a contract to race. That tells me both sides were at different numbers/stipulations. It never got pass the negotiation stage from the sounds of things. An actual contract was never presented.

Like I said in the other thread this whole thing is Baileys fault playing fast and loose with other people's money again.

Agree. It is unreasonable for the promoter to negotiate to basic terms that are unacceptable to the partners who hold decision making authority. If ticket sales were or expected to be nearly sold out, then the basic terms should have reflected that from the promoters perspective. Why would the promoter want to give a deal to the Lawrence’s he didn’t believe was commercially successful? The Lawrence’s may have veto authority but as racers it feels inappropriate for them to use it. Maybe they had to, and the promoter overstepped their bounds on the basic deal, but seems unlikely.

Fair enough they had agreed to something. Still nothings ever done in business until the dotted line is signed. so what did we learn, baileys an idiot?

And again all we are talking about here is being paid an appearance fee. And when you boil everything down and take the names out of it, most people would say no to paying a rider to come this late in the game. Haiden could go and race if he truly wanted to.  I will say this he’s very good at creating a chip on his shoulder even if it’s straight out of la la land.

Question: if the Lawrence’s weren’t involved how likely would it be that Deegan was racing for his requested billing fee in AUS?

Yes and the facts were not at all what he said they were which is classic Kooksey. Throw some half truths out there mixed in with some controversy/drama and let that shit stew.

Don’t get me wrong, I love me some offseason drama, it’s so entertaining! Just found it funny Kooksey of all people broke this story. He really knows how to get people talking, have to give him that

Obviously not completely agreed upon. More like when the car salesman asks, “If I could do this, would you buy the car today?” but he still needs to get approval from his sales manager before the agreement is finalized.

This situation doesn’t really seem that complicated. If Deegan’s agent had made the agreement earlier in the year, he’d probably be racing the event with a decent payout to show up. They waited, though, and the promoters ended up making a longer term deal with the Lawrence brothers and it changed the dynamic enough that there was no financial benefit to pay Deegan to race anymore. I wouldn’t be surprised if Webb had made his deal before the Lawrences and they wouldn’t have paid him much either if they didn’t already have a contract.

I’m actually a Deegan fan of sorts, but it certainly doesn’t sound like he got screwed out of anything. His agent and family probably know as much as anyone that this is a business and the only reason to spend money is if it’s going to make you money. With only 3K seats left, it wasn’t a wise spend.

Next time his agent may jump on the opportunity while he has the most leverage.

Short of JS259 on a KX125 in pink Fox gear I'm not sure the promoter would pay anybody six figures to add to the top of a sold out event.

I sense a Deegan paid for marketing campaign.

A distraction from that bad MXDN press, poor STAR teamwork, lies, marketing blunders, etc. Three seasons as a pro with one title but they want us to believe a six time camp is their “Rival”…it’s a joke. Fake BS social media marketing.

I expect nothing less from the Social Media Influencer family..

Suggestion: Just shut up and race.

Marvel stadium has a capacity of 53,343, there were 3,000 tickets left to sell. Why would any promoter spend additional money when the 3,000 tickets are likely to sell in the next week?

He couldn’t attend.

- STAR doesn’t support the Australian SX races

-  He desperately needed an elective surgery w/1-2 week recovery time so he would have a full three month recovery time to prepare for an 8 race regional series.

Your last point makes a mockery of this whole situation, and I find it hard to believe people actually fall for that bullshit, but as far as Star goes- Webb is racing the Australian series next weekend.

All of you posting just for the sake of reaching 20 pages are really stealing the joy from those of us that this really matters to, and that isn't very nice.
