Is there a track you raced or even just practice at that stands out in your mind? Whether it is still open or closed. Is it the jumps, the layout, or the terrain? How about the dirt, hard pack, blue groove, loamy farm soil, deep sand or clay? Or do you just love every one you've ever ridden?
My favorite would have to be Binghampton, NY, been closed a while but the up and downhills were just crazy, especially back then. All you saw was blue sky. Very rocky terrain, but nice loam underneath.
Masters Motoplex in Gaston, SC. Great dirt
Sandy was like a skate park for mx'rs. Like a mini Washougal with jumps and hills galore. I ripped the right peg off the YZF and broke a set of bars in two different incidents, all without crashing.
I’ve lived in CT all my life, except for 1 year in 2016 where I lived in socal. Here in the northeast, I definitely don’t like all of the tracks. Some of them are sorry shitholes that you’d have to pay me a lot to go back to, and then a few are my favorites. In CA I liked all of the tracks, there wasn’t one that I thought sucked. But at the same time none of them are really in contention to be my favorite.
My top 3:
1. U2 (dilla am track) 2. Royal Mountain, NY 3. NHMX, NH Honorable mentions to Cahuilla Creek, CA and Hog Heaven, NC(rip)
The Shop
Luxon 4-Post Bar Mounts
$189.95 - $239.95
DeCal Works Huge Plastic Inventory of UFO and Polisport kits.

Im a CT native also, have lived here my whole life, except for about 8 years in FL in the late 90's to mid 2000's. It was the Carmicheal/Stewart era and FL rocked then, tracks were great and lots of 'em. You have to be super hardcore to race in the northeast
Zaca or mammoth, hmm? Mammoth probably tops
southfork mx park, disputanta , va . used to be on d13 roster , but it is strickly a practice facility now. National level prep all day .
SWAN - dirt, prep, layout, visual appeal
Monster Mountain - layout, prep, dirt
Edit: through the early 2000’s it was Wildwood in Kentwood, La.
Now living in Ca. For the past almost 8 years, I ride Fox weekly and its fun for me 95% of the time. The other 5% is probably just me being a little bitch. lol - layout, dirt, prep
Cahuilla Creek. I love it there but it’s further out for me and I would have to drive past Fox and I just can’t seem to do it. - layout, dirt, prep
One trick pony I guess
I hit Perris occasionally but rare these days
Red bud...
Spring Creek, because well, it's Spring Creek...
Wheeler MX in Wisconsin for its deep rough sand and elevation changes, nothing else like in the midwest to the best of my knowledge.
There's two, Corona and DeAnza... nothing will ever compare!!
The Bomber at Durhamtown Plantation right after it was built and hadnt been dumbed down yet.
Washougal but only on these rare days. Where the dirt is tacky but not overly thick not too dry. And the track doesn't get super rough minimal ruts.
You can hit any line you want the bike sticks to the ground and you get excellent drive traction. So jumps and everything are easier and your expelling less energy. Conditions letting you flow and go fast.
Anyone who's been to shougal and experienced one of these days. Knows what I'm talking about.
Sometimes also had it happen at ward creek burnt ridge mt view. Unfortunately seems to only last for part of the day.
Bremen MX, 90 footer and the Mexican Triple.
Perfect vet track! Jon and Connie are top notch people too.
Cooperland
Mammoth.and E street, Marysville CA.
Northeast has a great MX scene and lots of good tracks. Biggest downfall is the short season and hit/miss weather. NYS has a crazy amount of tracks, the good far outweigh the average. Moto Masters is my favourite, Cato, Thornton, Hickory, Area 51 Sick Bros, etc
Pit Row
Hurricane Hills in Pennsylvania. Fritz did such an amazing job with this facility when he took over and every time I rode it the track was prepped to perfection. Technical with certain sections like the commandments and wide open when they included the flat track section on certain days. Plenty of big floaty jumps as well. Cannot think of a bad day on this track. Very fond memories.
Zacastation. One track I really wanted to ride but never got to was Ione Sands
338...Love/Hate
Motoland- Indiana. Sandy, but still has elevation change (even if man made). Large footprint and flowy.
Carlsbad.
Gopher Gulch Ranch. Private track with a killer layout 200ft of elevation change and awesome dirt.
Glen Helen and Mammoth MX as well though i haven't been to either for a while.
Chaney Ranch ✊🏼
Reddick a.k.a MX of Marion County, clay. Always tilled to perfection and let it do it's thing throughout the day and touched up a little here and there if needed.
The O.G. Diamondback in Cocoa, FL. One of the gnarliest sand tracks to every exist in Florida.
As of now, I really enjoy Echeconnee MX, it is my first choice. Gatorback will always be a top choice for me regardless of layout, I grew up racing that track and it is still enjoyable to ride to this day.
Is it still open?
Agreed , the world is running out of jon and Connie's. Best people ever , best prepped track around this time of year.
Hawkstone Park, back in the day when it was properly sandy.
Knockhill up in Scotland.
Cuckfield, West Sussex - now a golf course.
Ran British Nationals on them all over the years - absolute bangers .
Oh Yeah that area is Very hilly & steep but where in Pa. Is it not. I just crossed Pa. York on back rds to Niles. Altoona has a mtn pass no trk beyond 24 ft. It’s crazier than anything in the indies. NH in the boonies has some crazy super narrow & extremely steep grades too. So steep that the trk won’t move , clutch pack heats up & smoke covers the area. A town in Ct. too so steep , same thing. I think I heard Henry practicing in 91 working construction. If not that dude had that 125 screaming. I could hear him threw the woods. A group of 125,s used the railroad we rail plowed on to get to riding areas. 1 dick operator swung the bucket at 1 rider. A new kx he clutched it had stone flying. I yelled at out guy what r you doing.
