I haven’t noticed it - but to your point, it is something a lot of people say
I've only recently ( last few years ) noticed it. But it has gotten out of control.
It's corporate speak. I hear it a lot with sport and political journo's.
Howdy
Dear Moto Gods,
Please let the off season end right now instead of early January...
Sincerely,
Sully
I guess it's hard not to agree
You say it all depends on money
And who is in your family tree
You got a bloody right to say
Right, you're bloody well right
You know you got a right to say
You know you're right to say
Yeah, yeah, you're bloody well right
You know you're right to say
Me, I don't care anyway
Take them to a higher place
You've had your cry, no, I shouldn't say wail
In the meantime hush your face
Right (quite right) you're bloody well right
Right, you're bloody well right
You know you got a right to say
You know you're right to say
Yeah, yeah, you're bloody well right
You know you got a right to say
You got a bloody right to say
You got a bloody right to say
You got a bloody right to say
It’s the tone, almost like it’s sarcasm, or he’s talking to a 4 year old. “Zaxston, we don’t run with scissors, ..Riiight..”
It’s typically a sign of the ego looking for validation.
Not as bad as Chad Reed's um's and American accent.
Broc Tickle is, by far, the king of "um" during any interview. Swap is unwatchable for me, he's really bad with the "uh".
I listen to Pulp and have never caught the JT thing you speak of.
Emig is bad for the 'rights' as well. Actually much worse than JT.
Swap is the worst of a very bad bunch of interviewers in moto. He can barely get the questions out because he's blowing the riders so hard.
At the other end of the spectrum is Lewis, who is actually pretty good.
Like Eli, right?
Yeah, no, right you know.
Pit Row
Right ?
The constant use of 'obviously' by the riders is unbearable.
Add to this RC with his 'to your points' and Deegan with his 'yeah, definitely'. He seems to have misunderstandings as to how to use 'definitely'.
Someone: "how many changes have you made to the bike?
Deegan: 'Definitely...'
You will now. You're welcome. Lol
I see what you did there 👌👌
It’s definitely the hottest phrase in moto media.
It's part of his dynamic, right ?
Like, well you know, uhmmm, that's just your opinion man.
And the reason I say that is...
I have huge respect for Emig for overcoming his stutter and actually becoming a commentator—that’s incredible to me. There are people with stutter that are afraid to even answer the front door. I couldn’t care less how often he said 'right.'
I do notice that’s JT’s nervous go to word. Many people have a thing like that. Examples are right, you know what I mean, stuff like that, etc. I notice them all but it doesn’t bother me. Or like Jett always saying ya no.
I can't watch Swap. It's so awkward.
Lewis is alright, but he giggles like a 5 year old who just told his first fart joke.
JT is pretty good. I noticed the right thing, but all in all he is one of the better ones out there. It's amazing to me how he can remember the exact year and venue of any incident over the past 25 years.
Since we're jumping on Jason Thomas, did anyone else think he was a real wet blanket at MXdN announcing?
He did not come across as excited at all even during a fantastic 3rd moto.
Post a reply to: JT and "right?"
