Was great seeing the AMA and MXGP racers in the MXoN together, would be cool to see a throw back to the old Trans AMA series started again with a 3 race format at a few select US tracks instead of the SMX series for qualifying AMA & MXGP racers. Could tie-in points and $ in for both series. Would be good exposure for each organization and fans and help grow MX worldwide. Maybe add in a Vet MX championship series too?
…🙃
There was a rumor that the 2 series were trying to work out a race or 2 that was part of both series.
Everyone knows it would be massive for both series. They have to agree on a lot of things, a lot of things that don’t really line up. Money, rules, race format, days, etc…
If we can get something like Race 3 more than every year, or even regardless of that, yes, we need an mxgp+ama outdoor series. Top 20 here vs top 20 there.
Every real fan would prefere that over the over-hyped SMX races.
Absolutely fantastic idea. They'd have to MASSIVELY upgrade the current state of SMX tracks.

Can you imagine 3 races in the fall Glen Helen, Red Bud and Milleville.
The World vs USA 1 million to the winner in the 450 class !!!!!!
Add a 125 emx class The world and the riders want to know . Who is the fastest 125 rider. I,m sure Mike Brown would be there. Millville weather this weekend and sunset ridge this weekend. Burr 44 sat night at Millville high of 59 Sunday, iL. 1 degree warmer.
Love the idea.
I like idea, but not all 3 rounds or not every year everything should happen in america
But only in warm states. Tracks in the UP get super fast Canadians , 12 hr drive riders from IL. And Wi. Sand riders. Oct in the morning you would hv frost on your bike or snow threatening
Are you from Minnesota? Clearly Thunder Valley should be the third location!
Texas and would love to see a round at Swan Mx as well.
You're probably not wrong, but it's not gonna happen.
SMX exists because NBC wanted it to and they are putting up the money for it. They wanted a "playoff" to end the US racing season with and to connect the two US Series. They couldn't care less about bringing over some MXGP guys for 3 races that most US fans don't have a clue about and who haven't been racing here all year.
*Before I get attacked by the MXGP lovers, this is not meant to be a dig on MXGP
I posted something similar Saturday. I think this would be awesome to see.

I'm all for a AMA/MXGP combined GP/National but not in the place of the SMX series. The races would need to actually run in the summer in both America and Europe so that we don't not end up with three mud races. Not sure how they work out the points but what an epic event/events they would be!
Ironman over both of them.
SMX excist as a counter-react to WSX, nothing else. Then that they had to go to NBC to get the founding for it is another thing.
And there you have another problem. If every real mx fan would prefere this over the super-duper clown show, and most of the mx fans are just real fans. The sport is so niced that it’s rare to see casual fans around it.
So why not give the paying fans what they want?. It would be a light version of Des Nations and i guess that you have noticed that the interest around that event is pretty big on both sides of the atlantic sea.
Your whole first line is your opinion, not fact. Just because you are very emotionally invested in that opinion does not make it fact.
I'd argue if you don't know Gajser, Prado and Herlings you're not a fan
Pit Row
Fair enough, I don't disagree.
Can you name 17 more MXGP racers that are known by US fans?
Actually, are there even 17 more MXGP racers? Seems like a lot of the highlights I saw they barely had 20 riders on the gate.
Go ahead and prove me wrong. What came first and what was created after?…
I don’t know if you should be the one to talk about being emotionally invested in something since you take every chance you get to crap at the GP’s.
The forming of SMX has been discussed 1,000 times. I find it hard to believe that you haven't seen it, if you choose to not believe it and call those folks liars then I can't help you and you are entitled to your opinion. But just because something is your opinion, doesn't mean it's fact.
Does the average US fan know the bottom 20 in the series either? You just don't like the GPs and take any chance you get to talk down on them
Unadilla grass track in the fall
Time for Monster Mountain to get a round also.
Your entitled to have an opinion, even if it’s most likely wrong. No one has to waste their time trying to convince you differently.
The truth is there are probably only about 3-5 people that were there for the entire thing and know exactly how it went and none of them are posting in this thread.
SMX style races for a 3-5 race WORLD Series would be a big mistake. You'd have to do 2 MX and 1 Hybrid. Or 3 MX, 1 Hybrid, & 1 SX. Either way it will never happen. Unless both series agreed to cut their season's short 3 rounds and then start the World des Nations Shootout.
I vote we just kill supercross and expand outdoors but that ain’t happening.
June, 2021 - Feld announces it has separated from the FIM, aligning series sanctioning with AMA Pro Motocross.
November, 2021 - AMA Pro Motocross announces its 2022 schedule with a very curious 12th round (Pala 2, later fodder for SMX).
December, 2021 - The FIM announces a successor has been found for the FIM world supercross championship.
March, 2022 - SX Global announces initial details and plans for WSX.
WSX was rushed to market in 2022 while SMX had to wait for the broadcast media rights of Feld and MX Sports to align after the 2022 season.
nah brotha u got it all wrong , we only have the SMX playoffs because of wht NBC wanted & they footing the bill for it , where u think all this extra money coming from 🤔 which is why i personally said a while ago im not valuing the SMX title as much as the regular SX & MX title because let’s just say we lose this NBC deal , are we still goona have this SMX playoffs series around 🤔 my answer was no , but ur wrong brotha , this has nothing to do with WSX at all , yal gotta do research instead of making emotional opinions on some he say she say internet shit
I think they could realistically adjust the GP schedule to start in early February and end in late August, then do the "World SMX" Playoffs in September. The only thing I see as a potential headache is figuring out the qualifying points differential for the GP guys since they have fewer rounds. I would also think the FIM would want at least one round to be in Europe/overseas as a condition of their guys participating.
