Jett has always been his kryptonite. He tried so hard at the start of this moto to catch and pass him that he never settled in to the race.
I think there’s some truth to that. He was clearly faster than everyone else outdoors after Jett exited, so he could ride within his limits and still win most of the time.
If you are chasing a faster rider there’s definitely a tendency to push harder and go closer to your limit where mistakes happen.
Delusional down votes. Its fairly obvious to anyone with a working brain that Chase is a completely different rider when Jett is around. He’s always a head case regardless but as you said Jett is his kryptonite

RJ or other guys push it to keep up with someone and crash their brains out and get praise and respect for it. Chase pushes to stay up with guys because he can't buy a start and makes some mistakes and it's a mental illness.

I do too I just think the psychoanalysis is a little silly. When you push harder you make more mistakes. I think it's as simple as Jett being only guy that ever really makes him have to push, not that he's got some mental issues with him
