He will be racing a 450 for the star 250 program.

Meaning his deal is with star Yamaha not like Eli, Webb, and cooper with factory Yamaha.

Keeping his Fox contract?  Like I asked in the other thread, Fox wouldn't refuse to let him out if it was the only real offer he had, would they?  I understand that business is business, but there wouldn't seem to be much upside holding him to his contract while sitting on the couch, would there?

I doubt his fox deal is a huge money deal anyways, they likely got him pretty cheap. And many times riders have all their deals on the same timeframes so that when they change teams they are shopping/renewing deals all at the same time.

I'm not thinking about how much money he gets paid from Fox, but contracts often have a buyout clause that either party would need to pay for voiding the agreement.  I know that Fox isn't a little mom and pop organization anymore, but my thought is that if it came down to Craig having to stop wearing Fox and get a ride, or not wear anything but Fox and sit home, they'd probably release him from the last year (I think) of the contract.  They may want a small, token payout but I can't imagine them keeping him from getting a decent ride by strong arming the clothing contract.

If he were on the "450 team" (paid by Yamaha) it sounds like he could do his own gear deal but from the rumors he won't be on the same sort of deal as Tomac, Webb, and hopefully Cooper.

Who finishes more races next year, Craig, Mosiman, or Forkner?

Strange birds up in here…

Yeah probably because they can reason.  Dudes been on the struggle bus of both a new bike/team then a jacked up arm AND still finished top 10.  Is that not worthy of a ride?  Never mind, don’t answer

This isn’t just “a ride”, he will be their main test dummy more or less and I’d imagine will stay with the team well past his racing career to continue testing and help coach the younger 250 squad. Kinda like Chiz is currently doing for HEP.

He is also very close with the Deegans and will help Deegan transition into 450s (if Deegan stays with Star).

If he gets the strength back in his arm, he will still have a pretty big speed ceiling imo.

I always find the opinions on here to be so funny.. Top 10 guy isn't deserving of a factory ride to so many, fair in a sense. But do you think he is making Tomac number salary? No, he is not. So yes he is on great equipment and is expected to do better, but the level of what the OEM's are forking out is so much different from one guy to another.

TBH it would not surprise me one bit if his deal was incentive based only. Didn't Star have a clause in that if he pulled off he didn't get paid?

Good for CC. Maybe this will lead to other opportunities, like team management. 👍

He coming back from a nasty arm injury and finished 8th (i think) in the OA 450 standings. People have the balls to say he got his ride because of who he's related to.

I'm not sure I have ever seen so much hate for a pretty good dude and father of 3. Won a 250 sx title and pretty much a top 10 guy in the 450 class outdoors.

I see a lot of value in having Christian on a top team. To be Top 10 in Professional motocross racing and representing his sponsors so well is something very few accomplish. Christian is a stud who is living the dream at the top level as well as a great role model.  He is an awesome dad and husband to a beautiful family while remaining very humble.  His family's social media is very popular and we are hoping for nothing but the best for them.

I wouldn't call 350k to 450k small. They we're guessing on a pod and craig said higher then 250 but smaller then 500k

I don't know what you all are talking about but I seen him in the top 10 in the premier class most of the nationals. How doesn't that deserve a good ride???

It's not a grammar thing.  Well, it is actually.  But it's also slang.  That's the way people speak in some parts of the U.S.  I've heard many people use "seen" that way.

Tell Damon Huffman about it.
