The fact that Star is trying to strongarm the picks is what irks me. Since when did our guys become such puppets? He's raced two outdoor races in almost two years, and Plessinger has bested him in both....give me a break. I recall a few years ago Tomac was known as the choke artist. Im showing Pierce Brown P17 today, so I wasn’t too far off.
Tomac has competed in 4 nations events and has been the clear best US rider in the first 3 and went 1-6 in 2022. Pretty much cruised in the second moto. AP has had 1 good MXON moto and underperformed in the other 3.
This is a good problem to have. You can go with a legend who is motivated to go after not racing motocross in 2 years or you could go for a guy riding the best he ever has and wants to redeem himself in the worst way for the USA.
I think that the worst part in all this is if whoever gets picked underperforms, they’ll catch shit. Which sucks.

APs was last year. He went 5-23. Coming off a 3rd in the series, 8 points behind Ferrandis for 2nd. Dudes gonna screw us. The same people saying he needs to go because he’s captain America are the same people that say Malcolm deserves a ride because he’s popular.

Mine as well. In the post-race cconference, Eli bbasically said that AP deserves to go. Regardless, I hope Eli is picked. He's a better fit and will up the odds of Deegan going.
