If you were starting up a series or even when you compete in a series be it a local or regional one, what are some things you’d like to see different? Or in current series being held what are some things you wish they’d add or get rid of? How would you change certain aspects of series these days to improve them?

This isn’t for the off-road crowd more the motocross crowd.

Bonus question: For you North and South Carolina riders what tracks do you see hosting races?

In general, Less sitting around, more track time.

Specifically: Big Bikes in Morning, minis after (track is dryer and less deep for little wheels), Would be better for parents that ride also since they can race and then later focus on their kids.

Are you old enough to remember when they ran A, B, C, D all together?  Pro started backwards.  At least they did at Chicken Licks.😉    .

3 moto format = more seat time

Less classes & anything with a 14" front wheel or smaller are after big bikes & super mini's.

Tracks in NC/SC that hold races on the norm, East Bend, Windy Hill MX, NCMXP, Daniel's Ridge, Masters Motoplex, County Line MX, Stawberry Hill, MX221, MX421, Dreamland, Cathey's Creek, The Shoals, Travelers Rest, Pineville MX, & Westcraven MX.

Agreed! How about an Open 2-Stroke between the last qualifier and the first 250 main? 🙂

15 Supercross (7W/7E & the finals in a VERY Central location like KC, Minneapolis or even Dallas…and button it up in April)

12 Nationals and I’d find a way to get one in “The South”…possibly even kick it off in the south…in EARLY MAY!

4 SMX & I’d push to get them in speedways including a round at Daytona…maybe have the final there?

But, what do I know…

No rules regarding the numbers and number plate colors just like in MotoGP or Formula 1. How weird would it be to see a MotoGP bike with a big white square in front and on both rear sides? Just let the sponsors gain more space... they will come

Different organizing bodies for sure, one with rider oversight.

Run the number you earned. No more permanent numbers. Leave tracks as they are. No more sand added thats why we race all over the USA is different conditions.

That’s the biggest class in Wi. It was the 125 class. Some  kids do 125 jr, 125 class & 2-st.  250 2-st 25a against the kids is high intensity racing.  I would like to see a  New pro series 125 pro only 125cc and a stock engine 250f pro class no aftermarket pipe either. More of a who is the better rider vs no one can catch this 50k engine.

Or have the lawyer's family who represents the track owners become the sole promoter of the outdoor series.

MXGP:

Production rule, Full factory bikes create a even bigger gap between Privateer teams and Factory Teams.

No more age limit in MX2.

OAT Teams must have fill in riders, no more bikes sitting around behind the tent when the main rider is injured.

Lower the entry fee, EMX/Asian/South América championships points leaders should be given a free wild card entry in overseas races to have more quality riders on the grid

Supercross:

Have 450 SuperPole before the main events, top 5 in each heat will be enterad in the SuperPole.

2 rows start line, first row for the Superpole contenders, that way we have more space to build a track.

AMA Motocross:

More variety of tracks, we have had the 11 tracks of the series forever, have different tracks like Mammoth, one in Texas, in the South...

Bonus:

Technical regulations should be the same for MXGP and AMA Racing, no more "fuel is different in Europe", do like WEC and IMSA do with LMDh cars, helps bring the cost of racing down and allows more colaboration between European and American Teams

Combine / less classes. It's a long race day and a lot of sitting if you're only in 1 or 2 classes.

MXGP

- Remove the age limit of MX2 or move it to 26 years

- Obviously more support for overseas races. It is weird though, on very late notice some privateers are getting more support then MXGP regulars/factory teams to fill the gates. Entry fees are not the problem (they're lower then before), the logistics costs are the biggest issue.

- Production rules stricter, to close the gap between factory teams putting millions in a bike and privateer teams fighting for support or improvements.

- Price money for top 20 on Sunday.

- Top 5 of each class in National championships (non-GP regulars) get to race MXGP for free when they're organizing. For example, top 5 of French championship MX2 and MX1 will be able to attend the French GP(s).

- No more points for qualifying races, this is personal but I'm not a fan. Way too much risk. The entertainment level is high though, so I don't think they will change it.

AMA Supercross

- Superpole, top 5 scores points. End of year we will have a Superpole champion

- Bring back semi's

- Longer whoops, this is supercross.

- Bring back 5 layouts from former champions. We did this in 2009 and these ones were really unique. Especially Pastrana his layout.

- More races at Speedway stadiums like Daytona and Atlanta(?)

- Talked about a lot on this forum and I don't want to start another debate, but let the production team focus on racing instead of storylines. It works perfectly in MXGP and we have all the talent available to give the spectators more in sight information they want to know. Paul Malin does it himself (or with Jason Thomas), so with AC, RC, JS7, Windham, Dunge, Weege and others they can bring a lot more to the table.

AMA Motorcross

- 125 class and 250A class added to the schedule. Maybe you need a two-day format (which would obviously put more pressure on the teams), but you can solve it to have 6 races for 125 class and 6 races for 250A class to be able to keep the one-day format. It is a great learning experience in the EMX series, and I think this will give the American talents a lot of experience, instead of a big step after LL's.

- Free practice and time practice instead of two time practice sessions

General (both MXGP and AMA)

- After moto 2 or the main event, finishers should give interviews in a small pit, just like they do in F1. You can find it on YouTube after the race, even after qualifying. This gives the fans a lot of insight on what is happening, because you can miss a lot with everything happening on the track. Riders give a small review of their race, i.e. crashes, bike issues, armpump, things like that.
