My family and I used to do the national every year at BuddsCreek since Travis was on an 80 with that stuffed animal tied to the back of his chest protector, to when Stanton, Wardy, & Bayle were on 500's.  Thursday through to Sunday.

This weekend, my son, and grandson.....2 adult pit passes, one childs pit pass, and camping in our 2 man tent.....515.00 dollars.  And that was at the gate, not online, so I at least avoided online gees and taxes.  515 bucks.  Insane.

No more.  You can keep it.

How about the 25 canopies that line the fence so you can't even stand at the bottom to watch. Signs clearly say no tents past a certain point. Hell one guy was cooking on a charcoal grill under his canopy right next to the track lol

Does that make it ok? Prices for standing and sleeping in a field are getting way out of hand.

Not exactly sure what year that was? But it had to be in the late 80's if Ward, Stanton and Bayle were racing each other. I hate to disagree, because everything costs more, and certainly some things have gone up more than others. But thinking back to what my income was in the late 80's to today is a huge difference. Not sure, but the ratio of my income then and prices to the races, (I used to attend Millville almost every year in the 80's. When Lechien, Ward, and Donny Schmit were racing) is I believe around the same. It sounds like a high price yes, but it's not that bad or about the same based off income then to income now.

Not sure where you stand and can’t see due to canopies but they never got in my way. I mostly stood in the middle of the track and can see everything.

The canopies are great because they enable older people and possibly people with disabilities to be able to come and enjoy the national that otherwise couldn’t.

Not everyone is young and can run around and stand in the hot sun for 8+ hours straight.

An umbrella to block yourself or those small tents sure but a full blown ez up is selfish and blocks the view…

You also make way more money than you did in the 80’s and 90’s. It’s called inflation. The prices to put on these events for the promoters and tracks owners went up as well. You think they can afford to keep the prices of the 80’s and 90’s?

What tickets did you buy? The tickets you listed and weekend camping for Ironman come to $430 online, including $43 in fees.

My 40 min post with 4 pics never sent. Is there a 3 pic limit now ? I don’t hv time to re due the post. I,ll just say hit a pro am it’s a 3 day event including practice. Which u can parcipitate in and race both days.  The tracks r better not custom tailored to factory bikes. You won’t b 800 ft from the fence . You will b hanging ove the fence getting roosted.  You,ll run into people from your local community you may hv not seen in yrs.  At a couple I hv an opportunity to make more than 1,000 + bucks in vet classes & 2-st races.   A new pro & am series is desperately needed.  The current is just for rich people. A Huge push back against rich people is Very strong in America, even master degree people . Wages r down for every occupation. International CDL lic handed out in ovr 100 countries. Engineers , mechanics, medical, manufacturing, etc r all a part of the international restructuring of employees in America.

The average General Admission ticket to an MX National has outpaced inflation by almost 2x.  Yes, I've done the math.

That, and Deegan's kid is the new Bob Hannah.

Totally not!

Hannah talked shit then backed it up. Deegan only talks shit after things go his way. When they don't it's always an excuse.

Totally not Bob Hannah.

Supercross is more expensive too, but at least you get to sit in a seat with friends and you have access to bathrooms, and a wet bar in some venues, and there's more available for the experience.

Yeah, you're paying $515 to go to a motocross  event and the funny thing is you're paying to stand in the dirt. $515 to stand in the dirt 5 deep behind a chain link fence with annoying people.  And just when some facilities Started to make viewing decks and other improvements they also jacked the price up and made them VIP areas only.

What....you didn't shell out $2K for the Lorrance Brothers Ultimate Fan Experience....    cheap skate.

😉

That is insane pricing....     Little by little, this sport is shooting itself in the foot.... it used to be an "every-man" sport....those days are long gone.   Bikes, gear, tickets....

The whole summer practically Harley Davidson in Milwaukee has a anniversary. People from all ovr the world go there to take the action in. Of old school getting wild , even the women. Hot leg, wet t shirt contest, a ton of flashing. Etc. best entertainers performing, bar hopping just all out wild stuff. Not a family event but the biggest motorcycle event in the world by far. My Ukraine bosses hot wife was all excited to go and check it out from Chicago.  People hv no idea how big these events r. And some stuff is free.  Mx is missing out on billions of dollars by marketing there sport wrong.  There is no tradition so why not change it from a family marketed sport, which is a joke. To a adult level sport a place to get wild. Instead of gauging a micro 50 rider & his family. .
