In the tv broadcast weege brought up the departure of mcelrath and how it was not a mutual deal. Pipes said he wanted better results or sit out the remaining rounds until smx. That being said. Good to see shane get a 13th on the new bike today and beat nichols. Be a pretty solid kick in the face to hep if he can beat Colt the rest of the year to me.

how 🤔 all this telling me is tht Shane might suit this kawi more than he did with the zook , all the drama & shit behind him leaving…. it is wht it is
he had better beat Colt when was last time COLT rode outdoors... and been on the bike 2 weeks. Again I don't think his results will change and I am sure Next year it will be the same comments, "just trying to get the bike set up".
Colts been on the bike since before redbud. Hes had alot of testing time. His original debut date was millville. Kinda hard to fire a guy and have the new guy get the same results and get beat by a ton of privateers.
These mush brains thought Colt would become a factor getting off the Beta when Sasquatch was clapping them cheeks all SX.

I have to say I was keeping an eye on the Mcelrath / Nicholls battle and did think Shane had some extra motivation there to beat Colt.
Ones been racing all summer and the other hasn’t raced an outdoor since last season.
Yet one of them got fired because the team wanted better results.
As it looks now, the team could have let Shane ride the last races to and then let him go before SX. This just leave a sour taste
Neither one of them did good for being top tier 250 rideas in their day.... dont even go with the "can you do better" nonsense......Phil whooped both of their asses
I really thought McElrath would have been better than he has been on a 450, maybe this was the wake up call he needed? Hope the Kawi works out for him.
As for Nichols, first ride back, maybe wait a few weeks before judging his performance.
Let go of a back marker to get a back marker.
This seems like a manufactured feud.
Both good guys that are a bit past their prime.
As for being let go——never burn a bridge.
I've never been a fan of McElrath's though I know he's been in a couple 250f SX title hunts years back.
But I have to say, if HEP dropped him late in a current racing season, and SMX playoffs still to come, looking for better results, I think it looks badly on HEP Suzuki and is funnier than shit, that HEP's results got worse with Shane off the bike. Say what you want about another week somewhere in the future, because point blank, HEP did worse without Shane and Shane did better without the Zook. Funny as shit.
Is Shane still on a RWR deal for wsx..?? If so maybe this had a part in the thinking of HEP/PMG...?
Listen to Pulp MX / Steve's Privateer Island Podcast with Marshall Weltin, That will tell you all you need to know about HEP and how they treat their riders. Lost all respect for them as a team, and this move fits right in with their mentality.
From when or do you have a link by any chance?
Cliff notes please
According to Marsh, there was no communication from the team or Dustin after he got injured. They just asked him for his bike back, then never said anything to him again.
He was trying his best, results were pretty good considering he was coming off an injury and lack of prep. No real plan during the weeks when it came to riding or testing (very little riding). He was getting frustrated as he needed to ride himself into shape. Tore his ACL mid moto, still finished 11th? Got back to the truck, no one even spoke to him or was there to take his bike. So he leaned it against the truck and limped over to the Astars medical unit.
Packed his bags and left, again no one spoke to him or anything. Went home, got surgery and never heard back from them. The ending sounded very strange. I could be missing a few points.
Pit Row
Damn talk about feeling like the step child, no wonder Bogle threw in the towel with them.
Geez....not a good look for HEP if that's how it went down...🤡.What a crappy way to deal with your riders...
We have heard one side of the story—from a former 1099 contractor. Has HEP weighed in?
I think those quotes from that pod cast are from Marshall Welton and not Shane. Still does not look good though. Would be interesting to hear what really went down. And if they have a contract for the season - do they get paid out for the rest of the season??
I'm not sure what the confusion is about Shane being let go from HEP. His results were not good enough and the team has every right to terminate the contract. Seems they were not happy and who knows it might be that way a year from now with Colt.
I think you recaptured it well, plus they forced him to move to Fresno to be close to the team but there is nowhere to ride there. Crazy to think they tell him “you can maybe practice there Wednesday” or something. Looks like he had no way to ride most of the time.
Sucks for Marsh, he is a good guy. He wasn’t probably asking for much either.
Big lack of professionalism from Dustin!
Taking roczen out of the picture how good is that Suzuki now ? Id imagine a lot of the resources go to Ken anyway , after that who has done well on that bike in recent years ?
Enjoying the sass from Shane on social media.
Well looking at practice times I don’t think it was the bike for #12
Almost zinged him
Right back to bad results. Maybe it's mental thing with him.
Wonder what happened to Nichols? Moto 2 he was ssitting there for a wwhile, he ffinally got up though
