Dude is amazing, a Motocross Legend no doubt. 👍
This thread is 2 years old fam
Ha! Good catch!
The oldest rider to qualify for a national might be broken this weekend at Southwick. Tony Lorusso is signed up in the 250 class.
Tony who I believe is 52, 3 months younger than Brown I’m pretty sure.
I think with a clean lap Tony most definitely can make it in. If he makes the motos I wouldn’t be surprised to see him surprise some people and possibly be a 20-30 guy. With his efficient style and race craft/ experience.
Tony is a super nice guy and I hope he has a safe southwick while putting it in the Motos
I’m excited to see if Tony can qualify. I have always been a huge fan of him since he was a local CT racer.
Back in the 2000s I was at his track and forgot my helmet. I was maybe 15 or 16 at the time and he was still racing with Dowd and Henry at the local nationals. He had no reason to offer me his helmet for the day but he did. Unfortunatly I have a pretty big head and he has a small head so I had to use my brothers sweaty helmet between practice sessions.
Moments like that make you feel special, and I will forever be a fan of him and support his tracks / endeavors any way possible.
Good luck Tony!!
Yes NHMX rules
He's only owned NHMX for about 10 years
He owned a track in Rocky Hill CT for years before that.
Yeah I rode there too
Is this still going down?
No, not enough HVAC workers in the line. Brownie is OUT.
Mike is probably one of the fittest over 50 men on this planet.
But getting into the fast 40 at world class level race speed when there are 80 plus entries of 18 to 20 year old fresh bodies is a long shot for any human being.
If the races were shorter he would have a better chance, but 1 hour 40 minutes of balls out racing in one day isn’t possible for any person over 50 at this point.
Andrew Short is in HVAC now ?
He’s not…and look at that, shorty beat him. Weird….
Pit Row
So why don’t you piss and moan about shorty being there then? Brownie must have made you watch him bang your chick in high school?
Calm down.
Because it's not Shorty's life mission to show up to Loretta's every year and race plumbers, contractors and true amateurs. We get it, you make stickers for Brown's motorcycle. But still, calm down.
11 month's is not 2 years old
Yeah but can he mow my yard in 100 degree heat?
Jeff Emig ring a bell ? The guy is 53 years old . Where should he go race at that age
Flashing your piece out on the lanes?
53 acting like an entitled little bitch skipping the podium because things didn't go his way..
That was really shitty. I didn't really care about him racing there but after that it show's he just wants to beat Kevin walkers record. Imo its kind of cringe. The guy tore it up in the pros and now has to prove something at a amatuer event kind of screams insecure to me. If he really just wanted to race like he claims he wouldn't run those classes to try and get titles.
So does this mean he waits another year to attempt a national or since he lost the title by .00001 he will still give it a try?
Is he mentally tough enough to handle it if he DIDN'T qualify? Only raise that question due to his pathetic behavior today.
I still think he can make the fast 40 with ease tho. Tony Lorusso almost did at the wick and i believe brown to be quite a few clicks up fron Tony (even tho hes a beast too).
