It's getting a bit old pissing and moaning about RC. Most would be fawning over seeing the GOAT in real life. "Hey Ricky, can we take a pic, your(vital) the best man"

I thought he did alright today.

The disrespect for one of our sports greatest ever on these boards if baffling. He’s a great ambassador and a legend of the sport, he deserves respect.

He does need some refinement in the booth but my god you guys act as if he’s speaking Swahili. Give me a break. 

It's amazing because I don't mind listening to him and RV on the podcast but he's awful on TV. I feel the opposite about James. Can't really watch his pod but he is great in the booth.

Dude is awesome. But not as an announcer.  Broadcast personality or whatever his title is. Not going to school is great for racing but not so beneficial when it comes to sounding knowledgeable or educated. Not saying I could do better, but I do something different for work. 

           Gentlemen , please take your foot off the throttle about his announcing skills. Cool, you don’t like his skills, but years of this crybaby babbling on Vital is getting old.  Enjoy the broadcast, or don’t, nobody cares any longer.

Sign language. His first communication was likely a stubby middle finger for all you sophisticated buttholio's. The next sign he figured out was a dollar sign. He became rather fluent with that one. I get it that it chaps a lot of you that someone from the south is the face next to most of the records and subsequently, the most qualified to speak, even if poorly by your elevated standards, to the finer points concerning the racing. If I were Ricky I'd say, "Have at it you bunch of daises." But RC ain't got much quit in him. So, he'll most likely keep working and trying. And, ya'll will keep bitchin'. At least you're better at what you do than he is at what he does. So,,, you've got that goin' for you! Bunch of Dalai Lama's!

Every fucking thing is IN-ER-ESTING. He's terrible at his job. I was his biggest fan I get it he's the royal king of everything on track but there are better people qualified to do what he does. Off with his head. To think they got rid of Daniel Blair. What a shame. He had so much talent.

I dont mind Ricky at all. Does he screw up at times? Yes Is he a professional announcer? No That wasn't his career, he was a racer. I catch jason screwing up and saying garbage when thats his job hes supposed to be a professional at it. I never see people complaining about him though. Sit back and enjoy the races. IF it bothers you that bad there's always mute. 

To your point old school fool, the babbling is getting old. And what I mean by that is a certain announcer in the booth has his wheelbarrow leaned over just a liiiiitle too far. 

Meh, i am sure you didnt say you suck to RC's face and say I want a picture with Weigandt instead. I am glad you actually went to the races though aND didnt cry about the fees.

Right. But you would be asking for RC the racers pic. Not RC, the broadcaster. Same goes for "oh Vital is disrespecting the GOAT." Nope. Show me the thread where his racing career is disrespected. RC, the broadcaster, yeah he gets criticized and rightly so. You want to give him a pass because he has 150 wins that's on you.   

I dont want to be bitching but Id just like a quality show to watch. Lots of motorsports have actual quality broadcasts. Moto not so much, and they wonder why the sport doesn’t grow. It’s an embarrassing depiction of the sports participants. Yeah I know we are mostly red necks but come on. 
Not personally trying to hate on RC, but we need better for the rest of the world to hear if bringing more people in is the goal. And I’m not even sure that’s the goal .

Ricky seemed to be in a shitty mood today, at least for a while during 450 second moto. He gave weege the silent treatment after the NASCAR comment. You could sense he was sitting there silently pouting, then weege even made a comment about him finally speaking up.

Then he threw a fit that weege and jt were attacking him or something after weege made a comment about compensation. 

I think pissy/irritable RC is what we've been looking for, he's less excitable because he doesn't want to be there.

RC just tries to humbly speak about what it takes to kick a mudhole in everybody's behind with a bit of southern drawl, redneck hick, watered down with an effort to erase as much of it as possible to appease you high brow fans. I wish he'd just be himself. I'd love it if he went full Boomhower. I can hear it now,,,, "I tell you what. That'a been me, I'da just run over his azz." I can see the look on Weege's face in my mind...!

I have to agree with you. He tries too hard and tries to include words that are not normally part of his vocabulary. I think most of us would rather hear him being himself. Relax a bit and don’t worry about trying to be articulate

OP is a sourpuss.  I think the past few weeks broadcasts have been pretty good, including today.  Good balance between commentary and silence to let us watch the race, nice mix of drone camerawork and on-the-ground shots.  I think JT and Will are solid.  I even give props to RC.  He is not a natural like Weege but you can tell that he has tried to improve his skills over the past few years.  He still has a ways to go.  

I feel like the first year of broadcast on peacock and that weird year where it was on MavTV was a shit show.  There's been a lot of improvement since then.  

He cant be that good a Goat, he didn't  make it into the Espn top 100.
