Not sure why everyone is concerned with his whoop speed? The whoops have all but been eliminated in SX with the nine rollers/ rythem sections… i’m sure he will be fine with his determination he has shown on the track the past couple years!

They all count in there own way and you guys were lucky to ride with them. I respect anyone that moto's. But the bar I set is quite high 🤓

Sorry... no way one picture was sufficient

Ty shows up and races. How many PC riders do that?

Everyone talks about him not getting a ride because of SX.  Is it not crazy to think Mitch would sign him to an outdoor only contract?  I mean think about it when was the last time PC had all their guys ready for outdoors?

He wants to ride SX. On a PC bike he can probably easily hover around top 8-10 indoors with a full camp. A couple of years of that type of base building while absolutely flying outdoors like he does seems to me like a good move for the PC team. The pressure wouldn’t be on him to win indoors as the team has the firepower there but at this point even if the entire PC team was healthy I don’t think they are consistently beating Ty outdoors. Levi has beat him once in the last 6 motos or something. Ty is legitimately Mitch’s best shot at an outdoor title in 25. Would anyone really argue that at this point?

Stackable had a girlfriend that set the bar real high as well.

With Vohland on his way to Club, I would definitely find a way to keep Ty. Bring him to California for a full offseason of supercross prep where he’s supervised by the team, focus on getting him through supercross healthy, then let him go back to Texas when outdoor testing starts. I think he’ll likely win more races, especially with more fitness.

Maybe not currently, but previously he refused to go to camps with teams etc and wanted to stay home in TX.  His family has apparently been very hard to deal with in the past.  Maybe they are more open to it now, but I think that's exactly what he needs.....kind of think PC needs to all be together kind of like Star, but that may not be possible anymore.

Thought Vohland was going to Triumph, hadn’t heard of him going to club tho? Speaking of ClubMx, I was pretty stocked to see Jett Reynolds get 11th in moto 2, really want to see him succeed after all the injuries.

I'm not an insider by any measure. But I've been able to ride weekday practice days with some of the best Texas has produced for years. Even some that stopped at private/public tracks in N. TX from elsewhere but on factory teams.

Hahn brothers, Kyle Cunningham, both Wharton brothers, Hot Sauce Tedesco, Kyle Regal, Matt Lemoine, John Short, to name some good pros and a lot of other pros who don't maybe always make mains through the years. I'm sure many here can say the same so I'm not exclusive by any means.

But two years ago I spent a fair amount of time at HIS956, & it was evident to me every time I was able to watch Ty, that he had tremendous speed and was a great talent.

He's been on a lot of sub par or slightly sub par equipment for years now and had some real injuries that have held him back for sure. He's done tremendous so far for Mitch and PC. I don't recall how many PC riders have scored moto wins and overalls for Mitch in the last 3 or 4 years outdoors. I believe Kitchen did for Star, and certainly is capable for PC. But in reality, Ty has given to PC what PC has given to Ty so far. BOTH have benefitted from each other, and really what more can you ask for. If PC does sign Ty, I feel working with their bikes, with their suspension, with their testing, with the teammates he'll have to work with, Ty will improve a significant amount in SX for them.

He is one of several riders right now with tremendous upside in our sport. I hope he stays with PC and I want him to stay on "green".

Bridlewood Golf Course in Flower Mound is severely underrated. Great course! You used to buy stuff from me at Cycle Center didnt you?

There's no way you put in these kind of rides and Mitch doesn't sign you. He loves nothing more than winning, and right now Ty is embarrassing the rest of the PC stable, along with almost the entire field. He'll get a contract from Mitch eventually, and he'd be silly to sign anywhere else while he waits.

Is it working good for Star? Outside of Deegan, who's a stud and would win on any program, who's killing it at Star? Romano, Bennick, Frye, LeBlanc. Lots of swings and lots of misses over there

Star has proven success until recently.....and it's working pretty damn good for the Lawrences, Hymas, Roczen, and most at Bakers and Club.  Very few loaners are doing anything in the 250 class for sure and basically Tomac is the only 450 guy and he's an alien.

Kitchen for example.....couldn't deal with the pressure and program at Star and he is proven to not have the "fight" in him needed to be champ.

Why would you not sign Ty for next year ? He races and has a chance to win and not hurt all the time, Forkner, Mc Adoo and Hammaker can;t stay healthy.

Kitchens and Marchbanks next year sounds like Masterpool as the 5th rider would be a no brainier.

Besides Jo, was AC the only other guy to get a outdoor win for PC in recent years?  Hope Ty gets picked up.  People keep referencing his SX results or lack thereof.  While he may be a WIP on SX ho wmany has he really done?  A few this year, A1 last year and like 2-3 in '21?  I think he'd be worth the effort to commit to, he's go so much skill I think he could do pretty well on a good bike.

I think PC has an even bigger problem than what's being discussed and that's what do they also do about Drew Adams?   There is no way that Kawi is letting that kid walk.

Pretty lame statement about Kitchen. He was in good position to win the 250 west title until he tangled with McAdoo in the first section of the race in Nashville where he got up in last place and still rode to 14th with cracked ribs.

It's fair to assume if offered a contract with PC that he'd sign. Showing he can win and be towards the front opens even more doors. Triumph, and you guessed it, Star, to name just a few may be very interested. He turns 23 in November so he's good to go for a while.

The only reason he isn’t signed to a factory team is his SX results. I don’t think anyone is beating down his door right now, but if he keeps on the same trajectory outdoors I hope Mitch rewards with a chance to ride that bike indoors.

Triumph giving a less seasoned Evan Ferry a shot, and Star giving everyone a shot it would be reasonable to think they're potential suiters.

Why would star give him a chance?  Sure seems like he’s burned that bridge already. If you burn Bobby, unless you can start winning SX, he’s not giving you a second chance.

I’m not saying he is not a great rider, but I am saying he doesn’t have the champion mentality. Look at the last race when he could not move on Hampshire and effectively let the title slide away. How many races has he started in like 8th and just stayed there?  Listen to his interviews from before Red Bud and how defeated he sounds. If he sounds that way, what is he telling himself?  He’s telling himself he can’t beat those guys and if that’s the case he won’t.

Do you see other champs do that?

That’s not a problem at all. Drew will be racing for PC at some point next year(east sx or outdoors).

Shimoda and Ty have been Mitch’s best signings in recent years. Shields was signed after a tryout between him and Mumford, and Ty is a fill in. His track record of signing riders outside of those two lately has been piss poor.
