He's been in the industry since he was early 20s, I believe. I see some on Vital act like he's some outsider

Now imagine how much AX would be killing it if Derek Drake, Freddie Noren, Kyle Chisholm, Vince Friese, Grant Harlan, etc. were racing it.

Yeah dude.. very few fans.

Since you're from Plano... Dallas AX at Fair Park earlier this year. 600 entries each night. 35 pro riders. 3000 tickets sold. Hicks, Harmon, Miller, Nelko, Alessi, Talviku, Gordon, Curler, Floyd, Marquier, Orres etc. Insane racing.

Now imagine if you actually came to the races to see for yourself.

glad to hear 's doing better than I assumed it was, the timing didnt work out, but I hope they go back to fair park in 25 so I can catch it.

Yeah Videographer, he helped with the J Star Dreamride video with Savagty, Mookie, cachia and I can't remember other rider, plus all the old school Vurb Videos.

Good show in general. He seems to be getting some great guests, and his process is getting better and better.
I admit that in the beginning I wasn't really a fan of his show, but that has flipped for me. I find myself liking his different style and approach. The sport is still small, we need more people like this taking a deep dive for growth.

He lived in america for years going around to the races and was part of Redbull and vurb. plus he also was part of the media team for Jstar KTM.

also.. was one of the announcers for Redbull straight rhythm which people forget haha

But being around Vurb/Redbull media guys, especially still to this day.. your going to meet and become friends with a lot of people in the industry.

Tye Simmonds was the other rider for J Star,

I think his “Privateers need to GET OUT” hot take didn’t mesh too well with a lot of people.

That was an AWFUL take

I think he does a pretty good job and gets those "hard" questions in while politely pushing for the answer but feel he pushes the foul language just for the sake of shock value. It's not really needed and takes away from an otherwise good interview. His accent is pretty heavy, but understandable. He gets some good people to open up and talk, so I like that.

Just wish he'd cut down on the language. When it is justified, no problem, just don't throw it out there is all I am saying.

Vitards complain about Lewis' or MLs robotic question/statement interview styles but then you also want Gypsy to be more professional? Can never please you guys... If the likes of MC, Sexton, RC, Weege, Dung, Deegan, Pastrana, Ando, Troy Lee, DC, etc etc are fine with it why do vitards have a problem with it? If you don't like it/him don't listen. It's pretty simple

He's made big improvements over the years. He definitely wasn't able to get the big stars earlier in his career, but he has a good concept. And for everyone complaining about him talking too much, it's not an interview. It's a conversation between two persons.

Because he's seen as a outsider, they'll come around they starting are to he's been undeniable for years.

He’s gotten a lot better. I use to not be able to listen but since Pulp has dramatically went downhill I had to branch out and give him another listen.

He's said some dumb shit about privateers. But his interviews are good. He doesn't know everything there is to know about the sport so he does listen more than other interviewers

He’s improved a lot but the constant Deegan glazing is annoying. From his last podcast with Anderson, “bro, like wouldn’t it be funny if like Danger Boy got a DUI?” The dude has some straight up bad takes and weird things to say a lot of times, but his guests lately have been good and like I said, he’s improving.

I know it's hard to believe, but foul language is fairly common amongst a large number of adults in 2024.  I highly doubt your shock value claims.  If the whole point of the show is having a conversational tone vs. a traditional interview, then it would stand to reason that the language used would be much more casual.

We all have our take on this and you are entitled to disagree. I'm not a saint, or claim to be but I do think he throws out a 4 letter word for attention (shock value) and find it interesting that in most of his interviews, the other party does not respond in kind.

I still listen to him if he has a good guest and think he does a good job at getting in those more personal questions.

I've been critical in the past. Always thought Jace talked too much. But you know what, maybe I'm not being fair. Decided to give Gypsy another chance and be objective about it this time. So during a random clip, I timed him! In a 10 minut clip, dude talked for 6 minutes, mostly about himself. It's too much. Any interview pod I decide to tune into....it's to hear the guests..not the hosts.

And while I don't have a problem with profanity, I think what is even more important than "clean language" is something called tact. You want to drop F-bombs on a pod with Twitch, by all means. But when you have someone as thoughtful, educated and well spoken as DC.....you gotta be self aware enough to reign it in a little.

Naw man...I'm out on Gypsy. I think Darkside is less of a fanboy going to eat with his Yamaha shirt on than Jace is with his Jiu-Jitsu analogies and references to back in the day when he hung out with so-and-so in So Cal. .

I expected the podcast to be about caravans, bare knuckle boxing, dogs and stealing copper the first time I came across it.

He took the Rogan approach. Love it (for the most part). I think we've become spoiled in these times with all the content available. I remember the the first time I heard Villopoto on Pulp and I was like what the heck is this, he's doing an interview longer than 2 minutes!  You have to remember, he's the professional "talker" leading these guys in conversation. Do you think Dungey would talk for 10 minutes straight, I'd guess probably not.

Also lucky for us if you don't like one pod, there's 5+ others to check out.
