One of the only other races I can think of that was close to Chase’s ride yesterday is when RC lapped the entire field.

Regardless epic  ride by chase.

What pray tell would Webb out there do against Chase? Other than get lapped, of course.

Those of you talking depleted field and Jett went down and blah blah blah...get real. Can't help but think you are more recent fans or at least a newer generation.

Pay attention to the guys who've been around a while, who watched Stew in 2002, or even 2014 in Toronto. The guys who have seen more races than you "Jett is unbeatable" guys, we aren't biased when it comes to generational RIDES like Sextons yesterday.

That was a nasty track that bit two of the best riders in the series in one day, and Chase found the edge and put in a ride that will go down as one of the best ever.

You don't have to be a Jett hater or a Chase fanboy to acknowledge that fact. Just enjoy what you got to see yesterday, and we'll move on to the rest of the series.

I'm a fan of Jett AND Chase. Jett committed an unforced error and it bit him hard, but hopefully not hard enough to mess with the rest of the series. Chase HAD to have gained some confidence in himself and the bike.

Yesterday was good for the series, especially since Jett doesn't appear to be hurt. We are in for some battles.

Chase is registered as 26th after the first lap, I would love to watch go pro of his first lap, much less moto.

Stewart did it in 2003 at Budds. He had that 125 wfo the entire race. Now Sexton has done it.  Going from last to first at a pro National is just as rare as it is equally impressive, and to not give credit where credit is due is showing poor sportsmanship.

After race jett said himself his missing chunk out of his leg.

Race 2 jett def looked injured.

I feel like that term gets thrown around too much, did Jett hurt his leg in that crash? It would appear so..

Did he tear a chunk of muscle out like he said? No, he probably couldn’t walk if that was the case..

either way he wasn’t the same guy when the adrenaline wore off..

If I recall correctly, Stewart took the lead that day on the 9th lap or with like 9 minutes to go or something, but it didn't even take him the whole moto to get there.

On a 125 against a field of mostly 250Fs. Mind blowing.

Yeah I’m actually surprised the lack of mentions of his ride. THAT was the most impressive last to first ride of all time and the same race as the scrub heard around the world.

Chase’s ride yesterday was historic too don’t get me wrong but if we have to rank them, Stewart was on a vastly inferior bike

I’m not a big fan of Sexton, but that was a very inspiring ride. Never stopped charging !
With Jett injured and Tomac and Roczen out, who are contenders. There’s still a few others that add to the “depleted” field you speak of. Although I’m one that believes you have to be in it, to win it. No asterisks *
Sexton was the best guy yesterday, I hope that gives him confidence to run with Jett, once he’s feeling better.

Not to get into a pissing match, but while a 4t was an advantage, a 125 wasn’t the complete mismatch in 2003 that it is now. Besides that, a last to first ride in the premier class holds a bit more weight.

I would agree with all of that. Both rides were all-timers, for sure. Bench racing fodder for years to come.

Jett claims he has basically a chunk of meat missing from his leg.

Hurt/No Jett = Depleted field. Sorry to burst your bubble

Here we go with the "it wasn't straight up" arguments from back when Bubba would get beat because he crashed. Fanboys just cannot face reality.
One guy out of the entire field isn't a "depleated field". Jett IS a phenim, he has legitmately owned the 450 class, super talented guy. But, had Jett not taken himself out we may not have seen this level from Chase but we will never know. IF he hadn't and Chas put in those rides he would have beaten Jett, but we'll never know.
Never-the-less it was, beyond the shadow of a doubt, Chases day. Historic.

Exactly. Why does anyone even bring up Webb's name when it comes to outdoors?

He's right where he wants to be this summer.

It's motocross we're talking about - 40 riders.

Was that the southwick race where the rest of the field got close to minutes head start in the rain for Dungey and he climbed back to about 7th?

Mud race, I feel like it was Millville, but I might be wrong. And I wanna say DV was second, a lap down!  Chase ride impressive for sure. But RC lapping everyone is levels above that to me.

Yeah I just checked the replay.  At least she had the Fox rain gear.  I also noticed the bike wouldn’t kick the first few times so Goose suicide roll started it down the hill.  I don’t think that road was previously there a decade earlier where it was a tight staging area.  Interesting debate on gypsy about neck braces when I typed Dungey in.  I thought they were pretty high percentage good but most racers aren’t wearing them and Ryan broke his neck.  Curious about the current status
