That was hilarious when Jett said that.

They weren't getting into the nuts and bolts of why they're setting them so low. More an observation the front fender is practically on the tire. Just look at that Hunter pic

There has never been a better time to be an Aussie MX fan.

Jett, Hunter, with a special mention to Brad West.

Oi, oi, oi.

Hard time being an Aussie MotoGP and F1 fan with Danny Ric and Jack Miller in struggle street.

I noticed that but just thought the curve of the Honda fender near the front was greater than other manufacturers

Imagine that, starting grates and 450cc bikes means drop that front as hard as you can. Time to eliminate the starting grates. Takes skill away

No matter what, the cream will always rise to the top.

That's the reason the same guys consistently get top 5 starts.

No offence to Kyle Chisolm, but is he all of a sudden gonna be hole-shotting the mains without grates and H-S-devices?

Actually it makes a huge difference and just by saying the cream rise to the top negates all of it. The grates are what take the skill away. These are the best racers in the world here and in Mxgp, It creates variability because right now these bikes have a start map that is like a damn tractor pull

It's quite apparent HRC has the traction control starting map dialed in to a T (for dry conditions at least). Look at how both their bikes perform... and they confirmed its importance several weeks ago in SX when they talked about JL's average finish relative to his start position. When he was outside a specific start position, his race results were much poorer. Validates the whole "startercross" attitude held by so many.

I too wish they would do away with the grates, the holeshot devices and starting maps/traction control. As stated, these are the best in the world - let them show their skills, not what the engineer can come up with to remove those skills from the equation. Getting too much like Indy/F1 - just set everything to autopilot and enjoy the ride.

The start is a huge factor in the final outcome - let it be about skill, not technology.

I may be wrong in saying this, I believe I heard that prado doesn't run any of the maps etc... just goes by feel.
