7/17/2024 12:04pm 1981 - Fort St. John BC, Jeff Malanowich was the man. I remember when, I think, Factory Yamaha riders (Zoli Berenyi jr and ?) came up to do a riding school the day before a local race and stuck around to race with us locals. Jeff kept them honest the whole race. Wicked fast. Other 2 notables were Marty and Shane Eaton in the 80cc Expert class. In 1982, we had the Alberta Championships in Calmar just west of Edmonton, at the River Vista MX track. The Ft St. John MX'rs came down, and cleaned up. I remember 80cc Expert...

7/17/2024 12:01pm That's cool. There was so many good dedicated dudes that would race the whole BC series in my days from Fort St. John. Brad Hall, Greg Morton, Doug Lumbey, Rob fuhrman... Those guys were logging the miles down to the coast every weekend.

7/17/2024 12:01pm We remember the Calvin and Brian Boetcher, Malanowich, Richters, Troy Boot, and Davenports. I raced Andrew Davenport in the Edmonton Coliseum like my bro mentioned. This was an awesome race as I got my picture on the front of the Sherwood Park News newspaper. Is this Brad Hall the same guy that's working with Troy Boot as co-owners of a cross fit gym in Kelowna?

7/16/2024 5:48am I remember Larry back in 1983, had an orange seat on his kawi. Him and Lowell Thompson were absolute rippers at tracks like colville and sandpoint .they had some wicked duels.

7/13/2024 7:45pm I was lucky enough to see F1 cars when they were V10’s the sound was insane. The start of an A main sprint car race is awesome as well. 40 250’s and 40 450’s on the limiter when the card goes sideways is the best sound.

7/13/2024 6:13pm Enjoyed how the booth was quiet more than a few times during the Motos today . Don’t need to talk all the time sometimes just the sound of the bikes is enough.

6/26/2024 7:01am Me and my brother Stu both had one of these each. 79 Z50R. Then in 81 we both got YZ80s and started to race PRMA in Ft St John, BC. Funny story, first time out on 80s practicing together, I had the line, but gave in to Stu, ya know big brother an all, who proceeded to cross jump, swap, and eat shit. I raced past bike, past dust cloud, to see his head pop out just in time to kiss my front wheel. I went ass over tea kettle but no worse for wear. Stu on other hand, smashed...

6/23/2024 9:33am I will say this :Don’t ever lend your stock bike to a fast pro so he can get that second moto in( probably because his bike blew up)watching him win whilst completely bag driving my bike on the limiter was a bit er…back in the pits my ticking , steaming, clutch smelling bike. I was not too impressed. Knocked years off...
