Who’s going and where are you sitting?
I am going solo this year so with no kids/grandkids sucking up my money I am thinking of doing the VIP tent for food/drink/restrooms (64 years old- those r critical!)
The weather looks perfect, right now it’s predicting low 70’s.
Should be great racing in both classes. I’m thinking it will be a Lawrence brothers podium with Sexton. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Sexton take the win.
The unpredictable is the 250 class. Are there 5/6 riders or more who could take the win?

I heard traffic sucks there getting in and out. Is that true and how early to avoid it?
I will unfortunately not be attending this year, Need to watch my moms house and the dog. I hope that anyone who goes enjoys it, and wears sunscreen and a good hat. Also bring chairs if you don't want to sit in the dirt.
Head in early and bring stuff to bbq in the parking lot after the race. The tailgating happens after the race at Pala. Haha
I’ll be there and was there last year. I was parked in the pro pits so it was not too crazy. For a national from what I saw the am pits were very tame also! Anyone who knows where the fun is at let me know Thursday friday and Saturday.
The Shop
DeCal Works Huge Plastic Inventory of UFO and Polisport kits.
Luxon 4-Post Bar Mounts
$189.95 - $239.95
This will be 4 years in a row for me. The previous 3 I arrived around 8am because I like to see the morning practices etc., drove right in each time.
At the end of the day I leave 15 minutes into the last moto and drive right out or maybe 5-10 mins of traffic. I’m in my 60’s so by that time I’ve had enough and would rather catch the ending on Peacock than sit in an hour of traffic. I’ve never been to a National that has an easy exit plan. I’d suggest scooting out a little early or hanging out and barbecuing or whatever to pass some time. Thankful it’s going to be a cool day
I’ll be there. Not sure just yet if solo or not but as always I’ll be footing it around from spot to spot. I watch each moto from a different location. Post your location in this thread and I’ll stop by and I say hello.
If any one needs a staging / camping zone I have a place / property 10 minutes up the road nearby . Free .
I think I’m doing the VIP tent for a place to rest my tired body throughout the day. During the motos I am like you and like to check out different areas of the track and get some up close viewing. I’ll try to check in at some point and say hi
I was thinking of going. Washougal, too.
Nice! No credential needed. See you at one or both of them!
Are you still professionally shooting at the races or is this a spectator day for you?
Celebrity sighting 😎
The wife and I will be heading over from Australia for the first 3, land at LAX Thursday, picking up a car and heading to Temecula. We will be in the VIP tent.
In with family and friends. We'll more than likely set up at the top of the hill on the east end of the track.
Going to Washougal too.
More of a flashback fun day...but I'll bring cameras. 😀
Where? 😶🌫️
Stay an extra week and check out one of the east coast rounds...That way you can see the boys race in actual dirt instead of pounded out moon rock in Cali
I wish it was that easy, this is just a "quick trip" for us.
After this trip the only 3 tracks on the outdoor schedule we wouldn't have been to are high point, southwick and millville.
We have been to redbud for MXON both times, in 2022 we went to all the outdoors from washougal through to pala, plus we made a quick week long trip over last year for unadilla.
Not to mention this year we spent all of January in California for the first 4 sx rounds.
This MX/SX thing seems to go hand in hand with our travel addiction lol.
Pit Row
I'll be standing where the action is . . . Roaming along the fence all day!
LET'S GO RACING . . .
Anyone know where to get VIP tickets for Saturday? I only see a VIP option for Thu-Sat at $300.
You have to buy the 3 day VIP package even if you are only going on Saturday. Not fair but it’s been that way for the past few years
I'll be there. We'll be cruising around a bit, but mostly staying put, most likely where Sumdood is, on the east most hill. A couple of us are on the mend.
If you go, PM me. Would love to meet you guys!
And if you're not familiar with the area, check out Nessy Burgers afterward, just the other side of the I-15. Great burgers!
I'll be there, just done 6 days riding in California, Glen Helen again tomorrow and then lake elsinore. Can't wait for Pala
I'll be in the VIP camping area along the west side. I'll have an EZ up along the gate too. If you can add to the experience, let me know and you'll get an invite.
Will hookers and blow get me some shade and a cold water? Asking for a friend.
That's what I'm talking about! If the hookers get too hot, they can sit in front of the swamp cooler or I can take them inside in the air conditioning!
look for the Attitude 5th wheel with the Aggie flag. I'll be there Thursday.
My son and I will be there! Look for the handsome MFer in the Glen Helen t shirt….
Headed there tomorrow after noon for the event can’t wait! Let’s put some names to faces!
If you see a guy that looks like a fat Larry David in a usgp Glen Helen shirt buy him a beer !
