Sure he's fast. Those who know him say he's a good guy, he trains hard, takes the sport seriously, yada yada. But he rides like a punk.
Fastest lap doesn't necessarily mean fastest rider since races consist of more than one lap. The guy who got to the finish line first was faster getting there than anyone else.
In 2016, Ryan won 9 races in the 450 sx class, which was more than half of the available total. In 2015, Ryan won 8 of the 17 rounds and won the title with an 85 point advantage.
He did that by being the fastest rider from the gate drop to the finish line more often than the rest. One fast lap doesn't matter.
Agree... I can't even with "Deeg's" and his fans. I haven't had a real favorite since Zacho retired. But this household doesn't root for Deegan.
Nothing wrong at all with Anderson's pass. Typical SX pass. Yes, Jason can be over the top sometimes but this was not one of those times.
If some of you guys don't like that pass and want to penalize it then SX would be boring as hell with guys just following each other around. We have enough of that already!

I thought I remembered hearing that Kawasaki didn’t like Anderson being the center of controversy, and told him to knock it off.
I’m sure it goes without saying that Kawi would rather have the media’s focus on Anderson for getting on the podium rather than everyone discussing whether Anderson rides like a dick and is too dumb to recognize that he could make more money and get better exposure for staying out of controversy; but what does Kawi do in this situation?
Same with Honda… what do they tell Hunter? Im guessing they say OK - you stood up for yourself, but no more of that kind of stuff.
I didn’t think Anderson’s pass on Hunter was that egregious; but both Honda and Kawasaki don’t pay either rider to do what they did after the pass last night.
I think Anderson was going for it...pure racing. He barely touched Hunter.
Honda will never say a word to Hunter or Jett. Those two guys have totally changed Team Honda into the winningest team (well, Jett mostly). They won't criticize those two guys for a single thing. They are Honda's golden goose right now.
