Hi Mitch
Wrong answer, they are being paid full time salaries they should be racing the full series. East west should be for the futures or some other entry level class
I think its great

This is what the fans should see every week. This is professional racing where we deserve to see the best each week. Not have 5-6 of the sport’s top riders sitting at home half of the series
Exactly! It's far past time make the 250 class one series. A 125 east and west class is the karate kick Supercross needs!
I think we should have more of them. 3 minimum with 1 being a Triple Crown.
Mitch must have aged 20 years this weekend
Exactly!
You can only really fit 20 riders on a SX track, If you're saying get rid of east/west the 250 field would shrink tremendously, many riders would be without good rides who are very deserving of them. How would those riders compete on their own against a factory? The gap between factory 250s and a 250 a privateer racer, hell even a private team can build is night and day different. Its easy for you to just talk out your ass on the forum, but there would be serious repercussions to what you're saying and it would ultimately shrink the sport significantly...
Actually give what you're saying some thought...are you going to fit 40 250 riders on a SX track? Or do you want to shrink the sport by taking half the factory rides away?
For me, this was yet another great example of why the regional system sucks ass. Get rid of it! Why wouldn't we want to see the best 250 riders race every weekend instead of seperating them into two coasts? The top 250 riders make a lot of money, ffs some of them even have kids and we're still doing this outdated regional system.
Make the pro 250 class a proper combined class and have the future separated into two coasts.
this is an absolutely horrible idea...
+ 1. Don't fix something that is not broken and let us talk about real things that should be improved. (race director radio com, better tough blocks, mandatory gear, enduro tires, no kit suspensions in 250, 100 bikes only homologation rule, improved concussion protocols, multiple flags per flagger, flaggers training, etc etc)
The kids already have 23-24 races per year, all over the country, and with a lot of heat and humidity during the summer. Half of the field would not make the 17 rounds, look at PC, their 5 riders are quite injured over 14 rounds while being east/west. It is not like they do 9 rounds and just chill. It would make the nationals less interesting too as it would remove that particularity to have them combined.
They should also have 2 whoops. All tabletops and ZERO triples! They also shouldn't be able to be on anything higher than 80cc's because that would be dangerous.
There would still be 20 riders on the gate for the main. How would that be shrinking the sport?
And how do you determine who “deserves” a ride? I mean I think I deserve a ride actually.
Not saying you’re wrong just my opinion that it’s dumb to have 3-4 fast guys on each “coast” racing each other for half a series. Have the RJs of the world move onto the 450 class. The main teams still need 4 riders to make it through the season with someone representing there team each round, I really don’t see that man deserving riders losing support.
The greedy fan in me would love to see a full 250 sx schedule. But having these kids just learning sx doing 17 rounds? Half the field would be injured. I'm sure that's where the 125 East/West series comes into play. We all know that's an absolute pipedream and with never happen though
Pit Row
If I were the dictator, I would have 16 SX rounds total. A week off after every 4 rounds. So 3 weeks off total. This would mean a 19 week overall season.
6 rounds of West Coast
6 rounds of East Coast
4 rounds as a Shootout
1 of the Shootouts a Triple Crown.
5 Triple Crowns total on the season. 2 for each coast and then the Triple Crown Shootout.
SX Futures at all Triple Crowns.
250 riders would ride a 10 race season. 450 riders a 16 race season.
I do not like how its done now either.
When Dave Coombs SR 1st created it, it was originally not a points paying event and was not for many years. Back then they had 2 #1 racers 1E and 1W because the champions were already crowned.
Problem was it was expensive to drive back and forth across the nation for East racers to race it so they made it into a final E & W points race to force them into doing it and only a 50% chance of making it into the main.
