By the looks of the pictures, someone could’ve thrown a rock through the door/window, then push the bikes through said area. If that was my place and this happened to me, my pops would by like wtf do you have all those bikes behind glass doors what do you expect to happen?? Or should I just have more hope in people doing the right things?

Back in December, I flew from Phoenix to DC with a layover in Charlotte. The plane leaving Phoenix was full of illegal aliens going to be released in NC. I mean full. These were not Spanish speaking people, either. Not saying it’s related to this theft, but can’t be helping the overall crime situation there. It’s a shame, too since my wife and I were looking to retire possible out by Asheville, but now will probably go further north.

Grew up going to Buck mountain a few times a year for family trips, used to hangout with our cousin who was at Appalachian state and go snowboarding and enjoy downtown Boone with some occasional trips to Charlotte. Went back for his wedding 2 years ago after not being there for around 10 years, was blown away at how “urban” everything felt.

By the time the alarm companies tries the two or three phone numbers they have before they call dispatch. The bad guys are gone. Not all alarms anymore directly mean an officer is on the way based on what little I know.

That sucks! Hopefully they catch them. Those bikes are going to be hard to disguise. What are the chances they take off the plastic and put new ones on? Or do they rip off the decals and put new ones on to hide the bikes in plain sight. I'd contact plastic and decal companies see if I could get some information to them to see if they get orders for such and such bike to contact them.
63 year life long resident of the NC foothills here. Asheville is 1.5 hrs west of me. I’ve been calling Asheville the San Francisco of the East for the last 15-20 years. I’ll go up for a day trip but no more over nighters there for me. NC mountains are beautiful but if you’re looking to move here, I’d look at some of the smaller towns and communities.

If I remember correctly, don’t Phoenix run blue seats and gold rims on their Hondas? Should be easy to spot one out in the wild, compared to most CRF’s. Most people wouldn’t spot A-kit suspension from a distance but gold rims and a blue seat should make someone paying attention give it a double take.

West coast Norcal Sac area, less than two weeks ago. One of the largest shops around. Thieves drove a 4 wheel drive truck through the front doors. They had a u-haul truck waiting, and loaded up 10 bikes.
Looks ike a bunch of members ought to be glad a former mod isn't here to clip them or administer the ban hammer for their insensitive remarks regarding oppressed victims of our society. Perhaps some sensitivity or DEI training would help correct their faulty thinking.

I don't think any posts in this thread are inherently out line of but there was a point a few years back when GuyB was at the helm where there was straight up racist and nasty shit posted whenever a "wheelie boy" thread was created. It seems like the only people mad about GuyB were the ones generalizing when some dipshits did dumb shit like this.
I wasn't saying they were - I was being humorous, yet serious about the consequences, at the same time.
Gonna disagree on the other - I saw people get clipped for even posting the term Wheelie Boys (or alluding to them) under the previous regime.

Easy pickings. I even got the ban hammer myself once in one of those threads for saying thieves should die, which may or may not have been warranted...
