When you guys get to be a certain age and realize you can’t take the money with you and you only live once, you will join the factory and works editions, sprinter vans, VP fuel, and CV forks crowd… believe me, you will! 😂

I’m there and loving it👍

This gimmick was very beneficial to my MotOcd. I could finally run all the same manufacturer (WC) +5hp per piece anodised doodads.

I just received my purple limited edition hole shot device from Works Connection. I will probably never race, but it will match my hubs.

My entire “Vet Dinosaur” special is everything mentioned in this thread and I love it. 40yr old guy who still loves getting packages in the mail from WC, CMT, Rocky Mountain, and Motosport. Love building these bikes almost as much as riding them these days.

I see you got AoW to do your suspension. Jonny is a guru.

Yep he’s my go-to for suspension, especially Showa.

I had to go to my gf's hairdresser because my barber retired.

He was looking over my shoulder when I was looking at this thread.

He said if that thing is causing problems, to tell you it needs more lube.....

He was pretty curious about what problems it prevented too.

Any part that causes Vet or Novice riders to believe they can feel different flex characteristics.

Grow your hair out and go to a Megadeth concert as soon as possible.

For the chassis, yes, but stiffer bars and wheels definitely feel different.

On that note, premium wheels for most people, including me. I bought a set of faster wheels. The were expensive and totally unnecessary, but damn. I love them. It’s like that feeling you get when you’re 5 years old and just got a new pair of running shoes.

I’ve had a set built by Dubya for 8 years now that have been bulletproof. Talon hubs, Bulldog spokes, with DID STX hoops. My year KTM had the shitty quality spokes that were blowing out that eventually led to a recall, I bought the wheels prior to the recall because of the photos I had seen of blown out wheels and the injuries that came with them.

That’s fair. For some bikes they’re a necessity, for others a luxury. I think my YZ wheels were just fine but these wheels are finer.

I also bought Tokyomods Engine mounts for my 2007 CRF 250R. I went out of the way to find trick parts.

Probably doesn't count as most overt-rated, but most most detailed? The stickers were removed from wear and powder coating from the bikes I'm building.

I threw on an FMF system for my yz250f.

It absolutely makes a difference.

That being said, I could make the argument that I could get the same level of value if I spent that money on tires.

You're not wrong but your argument is also assuming that by buying exhaust someone is having to skip practice days.

I also run a “skid plate” that looks it belongs on an ADV bike.

I see others saying an aftermarket pipe on a 4T is a waste of money. Really? Some bikes have “Blow out specials” for stock systems…some bikes are just too damn loud…some bikes are choked up like they were designed by the EPA & OSHA.

So, I’m jus’ sayin’…

I needed to get rid of the restrictor restrictor that was in the 17-18 FC450 mufflers. Buying an exhaust was way better than beating it out with a piece of iron pipe. Besides, what else is there to do with Boomer cash?
