Why did Anderson get docked 4 positions?

It’s just what came up.  If you roll it forward the checkered is there.

If five riders missed it and jumped you have to think there’s a problem.

Cut the track after the finish line and jumped it again. 

Those "kiss my ass AMA" comments are gonna haunt him forever.  

Have to be consistent with the penalties so it's the right call. He will be fine of coarse.

So if Lawrence, Webb, Anderson (twice) , Plessinger and Sexton are all penalized, is it the riders fault or the flaggers fault. 5 of the top 6 riders in the standings jumped it so that tells me the flag was not positioned correctly. Typical AMA incompetence. 

Not all institutions are corrupt. The right call has been made. Justice has been served. .

Jett, take your 2 L’s & sit down! 

This is a shit decision to ruin this awesome triple crown going into the last race.

Put the red cross flag in the corner, not off to the side around a 180 turn where everybody has their heads down making sure they aren't getting passed for position at the line 

Riders’ fault

My entire argument is that the race is over when you get to the checkered flag, aka the finish line. Therefore, the finish line, the checkered flag, and in this case the Red Cross flag, is *the end* of the race.

The rules that apply during a race, in my opinion, shouldn’t apply after that line. I thought he would be fined. Oh well.

If it was out on the white flag lap, the AMA had time & should have had a red cross flag before the finish line turn.

I will add, I don’t wish injury on anybody & I hope Jett is ok. I just like having a little banter. 

If that many riders had an issue with the flag it clearly wasn’t placed correctly. I’m all for penalties but why should a bunch of riders get penalized for someone half assing/not doing job appropriately

Agree with you. Do not see how you dock position for an after the race is finished penalty. Points or money after 3rd moto/main is over. Race was over the instant front tire broke the finish line, so him jumping on the red cross flag happened after the race was over. Docking Jett positions was the wrong call. Hell the docking of positions could have been in Jett's head and caused a worse start and then the crash with Bam Bam. Penalty should have came down Monday.

So jett saw it last moment, as he said on the podium, the checkers was waving in front of the Red Cross flag , the red flag was held, not waving, you might want to stay off the coolaid!!.Btw he got docked as we knew he would and he knew!!

Yea seriously its not like half the top 10 are blind, they werent even waving the flag. 

He spent a good few seconds looking back making sure nobody was behind him before cruising around the last corner.

Was Bam Bam docked positions in the 250 race he was roosting the medic's tending to the downed rider years back? That was before the checkered flag. I know it was on the start straight, but just wondering.

I do believe an arguement that jet should not be penalized because, technically, the race was over 2 feet before he got the medical flag is about the silliest thing I have seen here on vital in the almost 20 years I have been here, and trust me, there has been some really stupid shit.

What are you measuring by if not for the minor technical detail of the race being over?

If the Red Cross flag is for a rider’s safety…WAIVE THE F’ING FLAG!  That dude’s flaccid holding of the flag while waiving the checkers was imbecilic. 

Rules are rules as far as the penalties go, whatever. but seems like it would of made sense to have a flag on other side of the flag house thing so they see it coming into the last corner…

This one’s on the AMA. If one or two riders miss the Red Cross, that’s their problem. If 5 do, it’s your problem. The whole point is track safety and that’s the job of the AMA. If they put out warnings that 1/4 of the field doesn’t see, the AMA is not doing its job to keep the track safe. The downed rider isn’t depending on Jett or Jason to ensure his safety, he’s depending on the AMA. 
 

It would have been much more noticeable if it was being madly waved in the manner of the blue lapper flag or checkered flag. It was just hanging there static. Not nearly as noticeable.
