This is an opportune moment to pour water on Gypsy Bro's ridiculous idea that supercross can be as popular as Formula One. Supercross fans are from a completely different demographic.  Formula One appeals to the wealthy and elites. If you want supercross to start gaining some mainstream fans don't show the people in the stands.  They make the sport look far from glamorous.

Standard Australian, lumping all Americans the same, even though it's a country of 350 million people spread over 4 time zones with thousands of sub-cultures. It must be the stress of having the Koala bear as your only marketable tourist attraction, a fence going through the middle of the country to protect you from rabbits, and knowing that it is inevitable that Beijing will be your capital.

LoL I had no clue you were an Aussie this whole time. Kudos to you for not throwing out that stock line all year that "you only hate Jett cause he's not American."

This Indoors deal is a tricky one. More variables to factor in.

Whats difference between this and a National, the lap times.

They both have mud, metal starting gate, sand, sx obstacles and the weather.

So far 2 posters have said Jett was 2 seconds faster than anyone else.

This after our resident statistician posted Jett's fastest lap was 1.4 seconds faster than Kenny's fastest lap.

But my favorite post was the "Jett proved tonight he can dominate when he wants"!

On a night where he finished 3rd by 24 seconds, with AP closing on him? You could say that after Daytona but not this race. I guess that's the difference between a fan and a fanatic...🤓

As @CPR said, most of Australia doesn't have Koalas, but different species of venomous snakes can be found throughout Australia, you are welcome to come play with them...

Keep beating the drum about how he was over 20sec down when he you know he got stuck behind a lapper and shut it down to take 3rd. Like Webb and Sexton put 24sec on him with pure speed.

Chris, my point is he wasn't 2 seconds faster than anyone tonight. And that's what you are beating your drum to.

Don't forget yet another crash 🤕

And that was more significant than the lapper.

What are the odds he goes for U.S. citizenship down the road—-I always thought Reed would do so. Oh wait…. 😂

With my amateur eyes, it did look like Jett was clearly (and yes, clearly) faster. He did mistakes and things happened but I didn't see clear indications of anyone being faster. Then again, the fastest doesn't always win.

He was clearly faster at first. Its hard to regroup from a crash which can take a lot of energy away getting the bike back up. He remounted a pretty good challenge but after the lapper incident he was clearly riding it home in third. He has a very manageable points lead.

But is there a chance he was so much faster because he was more willing to push it to a crash and make mistakes like he did..?

Fastest to the finish line trumps fastest lap times.

It's been interesting and is gonna get more interesting. Great season in spite of rain, track design. Last night was so needed before the break 🙂

"Willing to push it to a crash"

My theory is he will slow down after a big one, and be better! If not, he'll go down as a James Stewart II (with more style). It could swing either way, these guys are headstrong! Trying to get James to slow down, or Ron Lechien to quit partying prooved fruitless.

I think the Jett dislike has more to do with the promoters than Jett. The camera showing Jett watching the race, the camera showing Jett cheering on his brother, The camera cutting away to Jett rolling around in 3rd when there was the best race of the year going on up front. The ridiculous comparison to Jett after 5 wins catching McGrath with 71 wins and 27 other racers ahead of Jett on the all time wins list Including several that were on the starting gate last night..the list goes on.

He's awesome, but everyone dislikes it when something is over-promoted.

I'm a Jett fan but I don't have any heartache with the results.  Webb and Sexton rode great races on an evil bitch of a track.  Jett got bit...it happens.  But still on the box.  That's how you manage a championship.Wink

More style than Stewart?

Jett's got style but more than James is quite a stretch. JBS259 especially but I guess a point could be made for post WADA James.

look, I don't want to ruin your narrative; you seem pretty hell-bent on being an idiot. But, in lap 6, Jett was nearly 2.5 seconds faster than Webb and Sexton. That's what brought up the "2 seconds faster" comments. Not comparing fastest laps of the race. They look at the time made or lost per lap during a race.

Plus, when you compare fastest laps, even if they are on different laps, 1.4 seconds doesn't seem pretty damn substantial to you?
