Only $10 for all 2026 SX, MX, and SMX series.
I'm leaning towards the move for more dollars scenario. He will be 30 in May.
It will be real interesting to see what Kenny does next...
I do not..uh...recall...anything of this nature being mentioned so...y'know. I..I..I ..I don't see it.
That husky platform is not looking good this year . Either that or Malcolm is just behind the ball in his riding, but he was much better last year . I wonder how close the salary is between a phoenix/ club Mx level team , and that of a factory program ?
So Craig is done then? Can’t imagine another factory team picking him up

He and Ferrandis trade spots
Naah, Phoenix is probably done with this 450 experiment. Back to 250’s, dont go looking for Coty tough…
Husky guys havent been on top 10 since Osbourne left and missed most of races. Sounds like team is retirement home now. Ferrandis will get good salary and bring bike back if he has motivation left.
I listened to the pod and did not hear the "done deal" thing. He said that was a rumor floating around.
Asking for a friend….. is Kenny on a factory ride😊
??
Malcom finished the season 3rd in SX back in 2022
I can’t see how top factory bikes can be “bad”. Rick Johnson ride a “basically” stock YZ250 and YZ490 to several wins. Bob Hannah and Johnny Omar switched to Suzuki and had successful careers after switching. Ricky Carmichael switched to Suzuki successfully. JA21 switched to Husky won an SX championship. Ryan Dungey to KTM. Tomac to Kawi and to Yamaha. Didn’t Cooper Webb win an SX Championship on the KTM? Zach Osborne win an outdoor championship on the Husky.
Point being, the Husky GG and KTM are factory race bikes. How can they not be good? Yes, the front fenders are odd but other than that, these are the most competitive bikes any rider can get.
It seems that development and set-up of these factory bikes has a lot to do with the rider involved. Some riders know exactly the feel they want, and how they want to get there, others not so much. Some riders seem to be able to adapt riding styles to different set-ups as well. Perhaps with Dylan there may be a slight language and cultural barrier as well, what he wants may be difficult to describe in English for him as well as how to describe it. Of course, it appears many times teams seem oddly resistant to rider input too, Webb and Barcia's most recent episodes come to mind.
Good points. I didn’t think about that being the reason Barcia, Craig, and Malcolm have all done so horribly on the bikes. If only they had a “good” bike to ride.
Yeah, if he jumps ship, its not a good look for him. Even if it is to a factory team.
He liked the new platform for SX. It wasn't great for him outdoors. He struggled with it all summer last year and still managed to get second in the championship.
The previous gen YZ he had trouble gelling with it in SX, but it was great outdoors. He proved that by going on to win the championship.
Why the switch? He's been wanting to ride a Honda since he moved up to the 450 class. The money was too far apart and he decided to stay loyal to Star and Yamaha. He explained why he switched. He noticed how stable the Honda was and that's something he wanted. His start of the SX season this year was on par with last year.
He then got sick before Daytona and it turned into a lung infection. He passed Kenny for 4th at Daytona and later went over the bars which resulted in a bone bruise in his knee. He couldn't ride during week, went to Birmingham, and hit his knee again.
Did Craig no about this ?
If he doesn't, his results should have at least clued him in.
Isn't Phoenix Honda in the mix for becoming the Ducati MX team here in the States? Is this possibly a reason for the rumor too?
Pit Row
Interesting.
I've heard the current CRF450 platform described with a number of words but stable hasn't been one of them.
Wonder what he saw that made him believe it (other than following JL around in the outdoors and watching the bike, but JL's riding style is so neutral it would make any bike look stable).
From a French interview he did:
Was it really your desire to ride Honda this year?
To be honest, for years I've considered the CR-F to be the best 450 in the field. When you are under contract with another manufacturer, these are not things you can say, it’s normal. In 2021, when I won the Pro Motocross title, I was often fighting with Roczen. I could see how the Honda reacted. Same thing in SX, we often film the competition to analyze certain things. I've always considered this bike to be really accomplished. In 2020, after my 250 SX and MX championships, when it came time to move up to 450, I negotiated with Honda to sign with them. In the end, I opted for Yamaha's superb offer. In 2022, when I extended my contract with Star Racing, my agent was also talking to Honda. This desire to ride a CR-F is nothing new. In the end, it won't be with a factory bike, but it's still a great opportunity for me.

I was thinking the same thing. The production bike is about the furthest thing from stable. But we all know that factory CRF450 has no shortage of money and R&D to make it the absolute best they can possibly make it.
I think DV has stated the CRF is the best pro platform since Canard rode them.
Wonder if Phoenix keeps evolving or if they go back to what they were as a team if Dylan leaves.
Again, interesting.
Wonder if he still feels the same or if it's been a case of the grass always being greener on the other side of the fence. Also have to wonder how honest it is since he openly admits he hasn't been completely honest in the past - "When you are under contract with another manufacturer, these are not things you can say...". So, I would assume the reverse is also true - when you are under contract there are certain things you have to say, like how much you always wanted to be on this current brand. Obviously speculating but with good reason based on those comments. You aren't going to tell your current girlfriend how much more you like another girl and you just settled for her because you had limited options.
Since he moved to the 450s in SX, I haven't thought of him as a potential winner on a given night. Even when he'd be having a race where he was closer to the front than usual, I was always wondering when he was going to put himself on the ground and so far he hasn't given me a reason to change my mind. I've always gotten the Chad Reed vibe from him since he went stateside; meaning that when he wasn't satisified with his results he would badmouth the bike, always seemed disgruntled and doesn't handle adversity well (at least publicly).
But for whom?
I don't know what he means there since we all know the pros are like the rest of us - they all have their preferences. It's not like an IROC series where everyone races identical spec bikes.
S'il vous plaît, laissez mon compatriote français tranquille. Merci 🙂 🇫🇷
There is this weekend
No one good tho
must be a Qanon thing to see his DF results this way 🙄
Goodbye and good riddance. He's been hedging himself for the inevitable for years by trying to monetize social media.
