Shock shims fell out
I don't have Facebook so can't see shit, but I'm betting $1.59 on it's gonna be a KTM group bike.
From the front fender, it looked like a Honda to me.
The rider is the defending 250A champ and rides for the Thai Honda team.

What are the odds “StillSmokin” and “inflammable” reply? Lol
Don’t worry, they’ll print more.
What's with all the dust? Isn't it rainy season? Is that in Phuket?
We were in Khanom, about 4 hours from Phuket. This was a fairly new track with dirt that hasn’t settled in (fine powder) as well as not watering until Friday practice started. They were playing catch up up all weekend.
This is the driest and hottest time of year. Rainy season is coming soon and I was told that this race (different track) has been a mud race in the past few+ years.
I’m in Thailand now and can tell you it’s far from rainy season 🏝️
Side note: Man, this country is fun by bike
I thought it looked like a Honda, you confirmed it was. That's all the reply I have. 🙂
Must’ve removed the backfire screen…I kid
The twin air powerflow thread is what reminded/inspired me to make this post lol
I was referring to the irony of the first replies on the post.
It's not even electric!
Ahh, missed that 😁
Would have been some roasted nuts for MacAdoo.
I actually cannot confirm is this was in the race. Unless it happened early on, it’s likely it was in the warmup session as the rider was in a battle for 3rd for the second half of the moto and ended up a pretty close 4th.
(My bike was twisted so I pulled over and watched. It was a pretty good from what I could see. Seemed like some maybe faded at the end. I’m about to watch the livestream)
Edit. Confirmed it was during the race. See below.
Pit Row
I say fake out. Flames looked fake to me.
The livestream has a different angle.

Awesome! What are you getting yourself into? Please share more!
You all crack me up!
Had a nice ride on Koh Chang last week.
Currently really enjoying Koh Mak before going back to the Bangkok Madness in a few days. Third time Thailand and 6th time South East Asia. I was a chef for 20 years so I also travel to eat, which is always great here.
You're not wrong with your earlier post saying he didn't look too concerned about it.
Me, I'd be off the bike in a flamin' instant......
Unless I'm wrong, it was #1 that had that quite big flame up at the tank, when he got back on the bike ( after all that smoke / steam), yet I saw a #1 Honda finish that race.
So, I assume a fuel spillage from the tank onto the header pipe, with that brief , but not insignificant flame up, yet the rider still went on to finish.
Madness, with a heck of a lot of Luck involved!
Saw this happen to a guy at a club race in the early '90's. Dropped his bike in mud and the throttle got jammed wide open. The kill switch didn't work so instead of pulling the spark plug cap off, he pulled the fuel pipe out without turning off the fuel.
The bike went up like a bomb and was a burned out skeleton by the time they put the fire out. The worst bit was, it was his mate's bike which was for sale and he'd ridden it in the last race to see if he liked it. He had to pay for a pile of burned out scrap..
The guy is a STUD. Never give up!!!!!
You guys do some crazy shit over there! Looks like his cap may have come loose in the fall.
Who lets somebody race their bike with a bad kill switch?
