The track workers separated the bikes within seconds, while under no specific obligation to do so, and while Deegan was too busy getting in another rider's face to assist.

Does anyone remember a guy named Justin Barcia? lol. That guy pulled stuff 10x’s worse than this. From kicking people in the nuts, flipping people off in the middle of the track, roosting medical crews, blowing out Mookies knee hitting him backwards, the list goes on. I don’t ever recall the lynch mob being this bad lol.

I'm not defending ALL Deegan's reactions on and off track. But just for this crash alone. He's definitely NOT to blame for this. Hammaker was the clear cause of their tangle. I'd sure be pissed too if I went into the turn with more than a bike length lead and the guy behind me causes the problem. Hammaker was 5th with 40ft until the first turn.. Then he blips the throttle to get his handlebar around Bennick's with zero room for that maneuver. Deegan was already in front of everyone by a whole bike length getting the holeshot. He didn't go extra slow into the turn either. Hammaker's fault. End of Story.
Didn't Friese cut in sharp on Hunta at A1 and Hunta crashed in his heat race? I remember most saying (myself too) saying that is a racing incident and you have to be ready for it. Bothways; if you are crossing over be prepared to get hit, and if you are on the inside be ready for someone crossing over from the outside.
I think what is poisoning most (myself included) is the Deegan tantrum and pushing over Hammaker's bike. Hard to look at the crash objectively.

Yea…some people are using RV’s takes as gospel, yet the GOAT was laughing at RV for his take on it. Regardless of whether you have the view that if you have a wheel you own the corner….the fact that things happen so damn fast that by the time you realize the guy is cutting that hard, and going to leave you no room, that getting on the brakes hard as your bike chatters over ruts is not going to be enough to avoid contact…so whether you think deegan had a right to do what he did, or not, it was stupid. What happened should not surprise you at all. Stay 3 feet farther to the right and you pull a holeshot. Seth would have still passed him, but he wouldn’t have ended up in the crash.
