I wonder how they came to the decision of two positions, it seemed like he gained more than that

Two positions? He gained a hell of a lot more than that by doing it? Positions and time

Wouldnt have been in position for that last corner pass if he didnt cut the track. He would have been 4 or 5 positions further back after joining. A few more seconds to make up.

Deegan definitely came out ahead.

Well I said it last year, let's see how Deegan handles not winning, at the moment not very well.

Definitely should've been harsher. Not surprised though since it seems like he has diplomatic immunity as shown with claimgate

Maybe the AMA needs to implement the Deegan rule. If you go to a competitors pit between races and rage 1 position.

Or do they already have a rule for that?

Munoz and Bennick did the exact same thing with no penalty. They entered the track right behind Anstie and Miller which is where they were before they got blocked off. This is more about Deegan running it in on Schock in the last corner than “gaining an advantage”. I just wish they would sack up and call it like it is.

They didn't show it properly on the broadcast but when Deegan went off track he was one position behind Bryce Shelly, who did not cut the track. I went and looked at the lap chart, Bryce Shelly was 17th on the first lap and Deegan was 13th. Making assumptions here because the broadcast didn't show it properly but assuming no other passes made by Shelly or Deegan between then, going by the rule book that should be a 6 position penalty for Deegan. (5 positions gained +1 for gaining an advantage off track)

I said this in the last thread that got canned. He followed the other 2, has to be because of his other behavior tonight.

He didn’t even crash. He rolled down the backside of the berm. So they’re saying there was enough body contact to break his collarbone? I’m not doubting his injury. Just shocking that body contact could break that easily.

Re-read the post. His collarbone was cracked. The side load finished it off. It doesn't take much force to break a healthy collarbone if it's hit right.

I'm no mathlete but Deegan and his bike are probably 375 lbs. of moving force. I'd say it was a pretty decent impact.

Schock’s already fractured collarbone is Deegan’s fault. Got it. Now I understand.

It was cracked. Coty was riding with a cracked collar bone. The move Deegan made on him broke his collar bone. You can not ride with a broken collar bone. If not for Deegan, Coty’s collarbone would only be cracked. Hope that helps you understand.

Anyone on the fence about Deegan just took a hard turn to “fuck that kid” mentality. Not that the Deegan family cares about fans as long as they are making money but I imagine Danger toddler lost a lot of fans.

Schock was racing with an injury. Are you suggesting that he should get preferential treatment because of this? Deegan didn’t clean him out. He raced hard for a position. So many haters and snowflakes hating on Deegan.

Can’t think of too many past champions that weren’t respected by their competitors. He needs to take his medicine, shut his mouth and focus or he will be like his dad, one and done.

Exactly dude, as if deegan said hey your injured you should race.. he got bumped outta the spot and literally went over the berm himself.. had plenty of time to slowdown to.

Deegan made the unnecessary decision to exit the track to gain positional advantage.

Munoz and Bennick at least appear to had been forced off the track.

This would have been a non issue if he didn't go out of his way to be a dick head every chance he could during the event.

Exciting to watch and doesn’t give up. I get why some don’t like him. I could do without him flipping people off so quickly. Like when he flipped off Vialle when really it was Hammaker that caused the first turn crash at Detroit. Maybe that is where the anger for Hammaker came from tonight? Idk. But he goes for it and doesn’t lay up.
