What I noticed tonight is that Ricky was extremely relaxed. Sounded a lot smoother and comfortable. I wasn't usually chuckling to myself after everything he said. Keep it up!
I was a fan of “Mess around and find out.”
To me he sounded a little on edge. A lot of people have been calling him out for his bad performance of it. Lozenge gate.
he sounds cringe
Agree - but I also think I stopped paying attention after the card girl incident. Just lols and wtfs. Advantage to Ricky tonight.
He said someone could have made that pass “gooder”. I normally don’t complain about the announcers but my god my 9 year old granddaughter speaks “gooder” then RC.

he was better tonite. all hes gotta do is let weege carry the show and tonite he did that.
Yeah ricky never did learn proper english and grammar
Doesn't look like you learned proper punctuation either.
Yea, but they still missed Roczen coming up and making the pass.
He's been preperatin' again !
He was much better this weekend, not once did he say something that made me groan, and they brought up actual interesting topics.
Good catch…..I thought the same thing.
I have to keep it simple so guys like you can understand
I thought he was great tonight!
I’d like to know how a guy can “drug his footpegs”?
He probably took a perc prerace.
Love how vital thinks live announcing is easy..shit happens. Who cares. Move on..not that big of a deal.
If moto is trying to make push to go mainstream they need a quality broadcast unit. Having someone on the mic with the equivalent of a grade 3 education won’t do it.
He low key trash talked KTM/WP for not giving Barcia what he needs on the GasGas and alluded to Sexton getting his wants and he did it in the most politically correct way one could live on the air
RC is the man.
Pit Row
I loved that part.
He picked the payback takeout by Swoll before it happened. He saw it a mile away.
Thats an experience eye right there.
Agreed. When RC is away from the rapid fire mainstream color commentating, where words get jumbled and sound nonsensical at times (okay, many times), and in his element over at Title 24, he's articulate, well-spoken, doesn't get flustered and his timing with Villopoto is seamless.
Credit where credit is due, that was better than his average. Seemed more relaxed.
I thought he did well last night.
Why do we act like moto is ever going to go mainstream? It’s not…been hearing this forever.
"no harm no foul" is a bit too Rutledge for me.
I was commenting to my wife that I thought less might be more from Ricky -
I really like Ricky, but I thought he might be trying too hard to elaborate and runs out of words sometimes.
I think you are right - let Weege carry the show, then interject with short and sweet insights.
Still, I am glad he is there - he brings some "regular guy" to the booth despite being the GOAT.
Wish I had that job instead of sitting on my couch critiquing. But he has it which puts him up on me yet again - lol
Agreed. I listened to Title 24 the first time a few weeks ago, and that's the RC we need announcing. I felt last night was better, I particularly enjoyed the call on Swoll/Hymas.
After hearing him on Title 24 I wonder if someone is in is ear or training him and he's following their directions and comes off unnatural and lacking flow. Which would explain his out of place comments or word choices at times if he feels scripted or unable to be himself.
I don't care how many races and championships he won, he sucks at commentating. His delivery is so broken up, second guessed, forced and non sensical at times It makes me cringe.
No one thinks it is easy and RC exemplifies that thought. No big deal? He's painful to listen too.
Each race is a learning lesson, you gotta look at the big picture there.
Listening to him improve is gonna be so much fun!
