Finally back to some outdoor racing this weekend at Patagonia Argentina!! Should be great racing as all the heavy hitters are healthy!!
I’m pumped
I keep thinking about going to this race but it doesn't seem like any airports are close by. Would be cool though, seems like a very picturesque spot
What time does Herlings race???????
Pumped for this, love that track. One of the best of the year IMO
Any changes to the format this year compared to last year? Still 10 points for the qualifying race?

Both classes are pretty stacked. MX2 is pretty open as well. Can't wait
Is Herlings nor gajser hurt?
They're 100% healthy.
Looking forward to seeing what Vlaanderen can do with that Factory Yamaha of his. Hopefully he can fight for the Championship this year.
Geerts is going to surprise a lot of people. He looked good in Lierop on the weekend.
Can't wait to see how gerts goes.
Seewer on green.
I'm kinda bummed. I've lost a big chunk of my passion for the GPs for a couple of reasons.
MX Vice during the Lewis reign was basically the only proper outlet that attended the races and created proper content for the series. Sure Lewis have continued with the Vital GP podcasts with Wheeler and they're great but it's just not the same as being at the races. Lewis made MX Vice, unfortunately it started dying the second he moved to USA.
And i see no other media/content creators stepping up and taking that role?
But either way, still going to tune in to rd1. Patagonia is a fantastic track, and this might be the last race there in a while so lets enjoy it.
Hi Lewis!
Just kidding Motofinne. Hope the coverage is good this year and having Prado here for some SX rounds has me even more excited to tune in.
Agreed .
However, as usual, by March i am over SX and revved for MXGP, and love Argentina as a race.
I am calling Maxime Renaux as the man to surprise us.
I trully hope you could enjoy the MXGP racing without the "help" of MX Vice!
Bariloche airport is 90mins away from the track. You can get to Bariloche from Buenos Aires numerous times a day on a few different airlines... It's a looooong trip, but easily doable
Haha yeah the racing will probably be just as good as always! I just miss the insight that we used to have that is almost gone now...
Looks like it is same and Prado has to be loving the qualifying points with his starts!! Still feel like this year he’s gonna have to battle every race as field is stacked!!
One thing for sure is their coverage of the race is top notch and our boys from this side of the pond should pay attention to how to properly cover a race!! No fillers or bs just flat out racing!!

He looked very strong the first part of race 2, but the stamina didn't seem to be on point yet at the end of the race.
I don't think he can match the speed of Gajser, Herlings, Prado, Febvre, Seewer and Renaux in the first races of the year, but he should be getting stronger during the season
Excited for this weekend! I'm also keen to see how Vlaanderen will do, but I'm a big Jeffrey fan deep down so hoping he has a good, solid year and takes the title.
His starts were good at Hawkstone, and he just went 1-1 at Lierop and is on-form.
Same as for Geerts, Vlaanderen could be top 5 regularly but there are to many better riders at the moment for him to fight for the championship
I think he will be place 5-10 battling with Jonass, Coldenhoff, Fernandez, Seewer and Renaux
It’s only pre-season but Vlaanderen didn’t look that great at Lierop. He went 3-3 I believe but from what I saw he followed Jacobi around for almost the entire first moto. Jacobi is a good rider but you’d expect Vlaanderen to beat him fairly handily, especially on a track like Lierop
I can’t wait for this season. With Prado likely moving on next season, Herlings and Febvre coming towards the end of their careers it could be one of the last great seasons we see of this era.
Prado will be more ready than anyone having already been racing at a very high level this year, Gajser looked incredible in pre-season, Herlings still not at his absolute best but looking way better than he did heading into last season. It’s going to be a great title fight
I'm surprised the round ended up happening, is there any story as to how it went on? Did the new government actually cough up the money?
I heard he had some time off over the break
Both classes look great. I am pumped to see some tracks that are not disked so deep that it turns into a slot car track.
They had a really big shoes to fill in after Lewis left MX Vice but I think that last season they did a really good job with podcasts with Lorenzo Resta. He had a lot of insights and I personally enjoyed listening to those shows. Hope they will bring them back.
Lewis has a lot of passion for MXGP and I hope that he will be still involved. I listened to recent MX Vice MXGP Preview Show (props for calling in to Jeremy Seewer) and I need to admit that Lewis's being really high on riders that he personally likes (Seewer, Jonas, Watson) and quite low on riders that he doesn't have good relation (Febvre, Renaux, Forato) was a bit too much for me.
I'm super pumped for MXGP. Maybe even more MX2 this year as it seems like it's really open and those guys needs to go for it.
It is tough to bet against healthy Herlings as humble as he's trying to be. But in a long term, I would like to see Renaux more in the fight for wins and Febvre to make less mistakes.
Can't wait to see Gajser and Herlings dog fight it out.
